Overview of Parker 1928 Catalog

Item Details

Low Estimate0
This 32 page stapled seam catalog is from 1928. The Parker Invincible grade is the first gun offered, with all subsequent grades and models being described and pictured down to the Trojan, after-which the Single Barrel Trap is covered along with ventilated ribs and Long Range Duck Guns. The cover is a pebbled green card stock with black print showing four Canada geese in flight. The cover rates very good overall with a small seam separation at top and bottom of spine about 1 1/2" and 3/4" respectively, and with some small soiled spots due to a contaminate at lower right of cover. "PARTS" has been written and underlined in red grease pencil along the upper right corner and the interior pages all have neatly penciled-in prices, two for each arm, the first a standard trigger, with annoted "S.T." for single trigger pricing. While catalogs from 1926-1928 are very similar, this catalog features the green ink-stamped surcharge on page 32 which raises the price for re-stocking DH and D grade guns to "$30.00" from the previous 25, indicating that this is indeed a 1928 catalog. The "Order Blank" is included stapled inside the rear of the catalog cover, it has however become detached from the years due to torn corners at the staples. A Parker Brothers "Price List of Parker Gun Repairs" price sheet is included, dated 1926, with a green ink surcharged "Jan 1-1934" stamping. A very nice early Parker catalog and price list overall.
