Richard Roundtree Personally Owned Bennington Golf Bag W/International Country Club Tags and Bag Boy Push Cart - This Bennington Quiet Organizer golf bag and Bag Boy LT-450 two wheel push cart were personally owned by Richard Roundtree, who was an avid golfer. The golf bag is a high quality bag from Bennington's Quiet Organizer collection, and provides unequaled club protection and organization as well as keeping them quiet. The bag was used by Roundtree for international travel, and has a personalized golf towel attached and several country club tags from Jamaica, London and Thailand. The Bag Boy push cart has a two wheel design and a light weight, collapsable construction. Richard Roundtree was best known for his portrayal of private detective John Shaft in the 1971 film Shaft and four of its sequels. Considered as "the first Black action hero", Roundtree was credited with having an impact on the rise of African American leading actors in Hollywood projects, thanks to his successful performances in the genre. Over his five decades as an actor, he has appeared in some 160 film and television projects, sharing the screen with actors including Clint Eastwood, Peter O'Toole, Laurence Olivier, Samuel L. Jackson, and Brad Pitt, and received numerous awards, such as an MTV Lifetime Achievement Award, a Peabody Award, and a Black Theater Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award. This item comes directly from the Roundtree estate. Please Note: This item is located in Florida. Shipping will be at the expense of the buyer.
