"This stunning silver-hilted saber from the Bukhara region (present-day Uzbekistan, under Imperial Russian influence during the 19th century) features intricate filigree silverwork, Karelian birch accents, and a beautifully marked blade bearing the initials "C.G." The blade shows tool work along the spine and faces, likely from the original smith or retailer, and is housed in an equally ornate silver scabbard. The grip is wood cored, with Karelian birch panels set into silver framing, an uncommon and luxurious regional material prized for its marbled grain.
