.38 S&W Spl. - Good condition - revolver - 3-5/8" rnd, solid rib barrel - scarce square butt checkered walnut with diamond around screw and without medallions; left stock shows minor handling wear to butt - retains about 40% finish mottled with soft grey patina with areas of superficial pitting, blue - Markings: crisp- 2-line barrel address with patent dates 2.6.06, 9.14.09, & 12.29.14 - small S&W trademark on left side of frame - "SMITH & WESSON" on left side of barrel - "MADE IN U.S.A." right side of frame - "38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG" on right side of barrel - Sights: fixed; forged front blade/rear notched - DA - matching numbers throughout - smooth trigger - without serrated front and back tangs/strap - shiny bore with frosty areas at muzzle - mechanics are in Good working order with crisp action and tight lockup - brown leather holster - Yr. Mfg.: 1915-1942 - SN: 509626 - C&R - 61826
