Springfield model 1903, .30-06 caliber, U.S. military-issue rifle, serial #268540. Barrel is Springfield Armory marked and dated 1-07. The stock shows old light refinish, and outlines of “P” in cartouche. The stock shows no sanding, andthis finish could be stripped and would improve the rifle. The stock is generally good, other than the right side near the rear of the receiver where it has been inletted for what would be presumed to be a sight. The action is good, thebore is good. An early 1903 that could be improved. Est: $350 - $700
