Victorian Boulle-Style Mother of Pearl Inlaid Sewing Box W/Original Tools and Accessories - This is a stunning mid-19th century Victorian-era sewing box, richly decorated in the classic Boulle style with intricate gilt scrollwork, abalone shell inlays, and an exquisite central bouquet motif formed in shimmering mother of pearl. The craftsmanship of the exterior is matched by the elaborate scrolled base and floral embellishments, making this not only a functional item but a remarkable display piece. The hinged lid opens to reveal a lush green velvet-lined interior, complete with fitted compartments housing an assortment of original sewing tools and accessories. These include exotic composition and mother of pearl implements, intricately carved mother of pearl spools, ribbon tied needle holder, two porcelain thimbles. A satin cushion and fold-out compartment further enhance the box's luxurious design and utility. This antique sewing box represents a superb example of 19th-century decorative arts and would be an excellent centerpiece in any collection of Victorian objets d'art or needlework memorabilia.
