The First Winchester Bolt action Repeating Rifle featuring an internal tubular magazine: first Model Hotchkiss Deluxe Sporting Rifle: 26" Octagonal Barrel, Fancy Hand Checkered Pistol Grip Stock with Horn accents. Blade front sight with adjustable buckhorn rear sight. Three-Line Winchester Repeating Arms Co New Haven Roll Mark to left side receiver, Serial on left top: 4477. Unmarked bbl. An amazing amount of original finish remains on the barrel and receiver rating better than 92%, with just some light thinning at edges, and fine scattered freckles, buttplate shows dark plum/black patina developing, trigger guard is similar with areas of original finish showing through stippled and varied patina. Stock bears field and use marks, but no damage or cracks, with a fine "old furniture" style patina. One side of the stock has a few freckles of white paint. Function is excellent. *ANTIQUE
