Our Assessment: The Winchester Model 90 was one of the most iconic and successful pump-action .22 rifles produced in the early 20th century. Designed by John Browning, it became a favorite among sportsmen, target shooters, and small-game hunters. Its robust construction and smooth cycling action contributed to its long-lasting popularity.
This particular rifle, chambered in .22 WRF, was an advanced option for the time, offering a bit more power than the standard .22 Short or .22 Long cartridges. The takedown design made it highly portable, while the tubular magazine provided ample capacity for extended shooting sessions.
For collectors and enthusiasts, this Winchester Model 90 represents an excellent piece of American firearm history. With its classic design, solid mechanics, and aged character, it would make a fine addition to any collection or be a fun shooter for those looking to experience a vintage rimfire rifle.
