This 1964 Ford Falcon Sprint is an SCCA Trans-American FIA/GT race car. The 999 VIN and the fiberglass doors front fenders hood and trunk lid identify this Falcon as a ?63 Prototype? car. It was driven and built by Shelby team driver Bob Johnson and was sold in 1967 to SCCA driver Jim Harrell who raced it in the 1968 SCCA A-Sedan races. The race car was acquired by its fifth and current owner in 2016 and recently underwent a complete mechanical restoration leaving all cosmetics in as-is condition from the 1968 season. It is now powered by a 289/458hp 8-cylinder engine mated to a Super T-10 4-speed manual transmission and a 9? Ford rear end with Detroit locker and 3.50 gears. After its mechanical restoration this Falcon was raced at the Weathertech International Challenge at Road America in 2017. This documented race car was a First in Class Group 6 winner and is Goodwood eligible. It includes FIA papers and an SVRA Medallion.
