This Shelby Series 1 is a high-performance roadster designed by Carroll Shelby and produced by Shelby American in Las Vegas. Only 249 production Series 1s were constructed by Shelby American Inc. all as 1999 models. This particular Series 1 was purchased from the original owner and has 1728 actual miles. This Series 1 is #44 produced of the total run of 249. The suspension is a highly sophisticated race-quality setup that uses pushrods to mount the coilover shocks inboard to reduce the unsprung weight. The leather bucket seats are custom-made featuring Carroll Shelbys signature embossed in the seatbacks with the ability to add a 5-point harness system. The convertible top folds away out of sight in the compartment behind the cockpit. This Series 1 is powered by a 4.0-liter 8-cylinder engine and a manual transmission.
