Bugs Bunny was born on July 27, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York by creators Tex Avery and Robert McKimson. Bugs starred in 167 shorts during the Golden Age of Animation in America. Edition Size 500.Robert McKimsonWhile the name Robert McKimson is not well-known outside animation circles, his work is familiar to us all. Robert McKimson's animation career began in 1928 at The Walt Disney Studios, which then employed only about 30 people. He found the legendary Mickey Mouse on the drawing board before him on his very first assignment as an assistant animator. In 1931, he left for Warner Bros. Studio, where he stayed on until 1963 as an animator and cartoon Director. Robert McKimson became a Director during the mid-40s with his first picture, “Daffy Doodles,” being released in 1946.
