Winchester Model 1866 Sporting Rifle in .44 Rim Fire, SN: 119040, Made in 1874. This is a very nice Winchester Model 1866 Sporting Rifle in .44 Rim Fire. The brass frame is in great condition with a nice even mustard color as does the magazine cap and butt plate. The walnut stock has frontier marks but is sound and solid with no cracks or splits. The 24 inch octagon barrel looks to have been cleaned with steel wool years ago and has limited blue. The rifle has a standard front sight and 900 yard latter rear sight. The bore is quite nice and shootable if you have 44 RF ammo. The action is tight and functions smoothly as it should. All in all a very nice classic Winchester rifle. Metal Condition: The brass frame mag cap and butt plate are in great condition with a even mustard color. The barrel has limited blue and was cleaned years ago and will need more time for patina to return. Barrel: 24 inch octagon with very limited blue with a full length mag tube and sights with a very nice bore. Sights: Adjustable 900 yard rear and a factory blade front. Chamber: Nice clean chamber and a smooth action. Stock: Nice straight grain walnut with a frontier marks but sound and solid.

Shipping cost are solely the buyer’s responsibility. Matt Maring Auction Co. will assist in packaging and shipping. All firearms shipping will be done and handled by an FFL dealer. This is regardless of age of firearm. All firearms will be shipped to an FFL dealer of your choice. You will have to provide Matt Maring Auction Co. with a copy of the FFL dealers license within 3 Business days of the auction, which is Wednesday February 20th, 2019. If you do not provide us with an FFL dealer license you will forfeit your right to the firearm. There will be a $25.00 transfer fee plus all shipping cost; this will be charged to your credit card that is on file with Proxibid.com. You can send your FFL dealer license to either mmaring@citlink.net or fax to 507-789-5227 please include your name and which lots you purchased.
Shipping for all non-firearms will be handled by the auction company and will use FedEx or USPS, there will be a $5.00 per shipping box fee added to your shipping cost.
