Sales taxes State law requires Black Star to collect sales tax on all applicable transactions of non-titled items. Tax rates are based on the item's location at the time of sale and are applied to the total purchase price (purchase price plus the Buyer's Premium). Tax will be collected unless the buyer provides proof of a tax exemption certificate along with the completion of the proper forms, which must be submitted before tax amounts will be removed from the invoice. Exemption forms are auction-specific based on the item's location and will need to be completed for every purchase. Black Star cannot offer advice, opinions, or guarantees about whether you are, in fact, exempt. We recommend that you consult your tax advisors if you have eligibility questions.
