Difficult Date 1929-d Walking Liberty Half Dollar 50c Grades VF+

Lot # 50 (Sale Order: 51 of 224)

According to David Hall at PCGS the 1929-D has a relatively low mintage and, along with the 1929-S and 1933-S, it the last Walking Liberty half dollar (with the exception of the very low mintage 1938-D) that sells for more than its silver value in the lowest grades. A nice example. Mostly white with a good look. This is the last year before the hiatus due to the Great Depression. No walkers would be made again till '33. Trends lists at $35-$125. Estimated Value $90....more
