Smith and Wesson 22/32 Kit Gun Revolver

Lot # 102 (Sale Order: 102 of 191)

Manufacturer: Smith and Wesson; Model: 22/32 Kit Gun, Caliber: 22 LR, Condition: Used, Barrel: Blue 4", Stock: Smooth Rosewood round butt, Box: Yes, period correct, mismatched serial number, Sights: Rear micrometer white outline, Front serrated red ramp, Serial Number: 35962, Notes: Comes with S&W letter showing special order "diamond" stamp on barrel, all original with smooth square butt Rosewood grips, red ramp front sight, white outline target rear on a 2nd type I frame. You have to look hard for these factory original variations that letter. 1958 saw the "Mod 34" stamping, but this gun shipped in 1958 without any model stamping making it one of the last "pre-34" guns to ship. The Kit Gun is so called due to it being small enough to fit in a hunter/fisherman's travel kit. This gun originally shipped to Seattle, WA. Gun shows several handling and use marks especially at muzzle and high spots. Really unique gun that you won't find all certified. Mfg 1958...more

Smith and Wesson 44 Magnum Revolver

Lot # 103 (Sale Order: 103 of 191)

Manufacturer: Smith and Wesson; Model: 44 Magnum Pre-29, Caliber: 44 Magnum, Condition: Used, Barrel: Blue 4", Stock: Walnut checkered Coke Grips Box: Yes, wood case with tools, Sights: Rear micrometer white outline, Front serrated red ramp, Serial Number: S171107, Notes: Pre-29 with Coke grips in 1st year production of the 4" barrel. This one has seen use, but is in very good condition. Muzzle wear and handling marks from very likely a "holstered" gun. The Coke style grips are always a big extra to have and they're in great shape. Comes in a presentation wood case with the original rare 8 groove sight adjustment tool (some call it a screwdriver) and cleaning tools. A real gem that's getting scarcer. Mfg 1956-57...more

Smith and Wesson Highway Patrolman .357 Pre-28 Blue 6" Wood Case 5 Screw Mfg 1954-55 Revolver

Lot # 104 (Sale Order: 104 of 191)

Manufacturer: Smith and Wesson; Model: Highway Patrolman, Caliber: 357 Magnum, Condition: Used, Barrel: Blue 6", Stock: Walnut checkered Magna serialized to gun, Box: Yes, wood case, Sights: Rear micrometer, Front serrated ramp, Serial Number: S111398, Notes: Highway Patrolman's (Pre-28's) were the standard for police duty since they cost less than the Pre-27. Everything's the same except for the finish. The Pre-28's were matte on the top strap for glare and a lower luster blue throughout. This kept the costs down. This one has original magna grips that serialize to the gun. Comes in a wood S&W case. Gun has bluing wear. Grips show minor wear. Comes with a period correct trigger shoe. These old 5 screw "S" series HP's are getting scarcer. Not many were made in the 4 years. This is a 1st year manufactured gun....more

Mannlicher Schoenauer 1956 MC (Monte Carlo) 270 Rifle Mfg 1956-61 Rifle

Lot # 105 (Sale Order: 105 of 191)

Manufacturer: Mannlicher Schoenauer, Model: 1956 MC (Monte Carlo), Caliber: 270, Condition: Used, Barrel: Blue, 22", Sights: Rear double sight leaf, Front checkered ramp with bead on blade, and Redfield 6X extra fine line reticle with center mini-dot, Stock: Walnut checkered with rosewood forarm cap, white-line spacer, Box: None, Serial Number: 27158, Notes: Another beautiful European made gun (Austria) with a pronounced Monte Carlo buttstock giving it the name 1956 MC. White line spacers at butt plate and grip cap. Bolt is polished and left in the white. Steyr still makes these rifles, but the new ones no longer use the Schoenhauer spool magazine or the action designed by Ferdinand Ritter von Mannlicher. Gun has a beautiful piece of walnut with handling marks, sling, in-the-white butter knife bolt handle, original sights and perfect Redfield with no marks. Bluing is very nice with a few handling marks. The bolt action is simply the smoothest ever made. It is the only bolt action that will close and lock itself if the muzzle of an empty rifle with a fully open bolt is swung down to point at the ground while the trigger is held back. This is partly because of the outstanding machine work put into these rifles, and partly because the Schoenauer spool magazine does not drag against the bolt as does the follower in the box magazine of a Mauser style rifle....more
