2010 SEMA Mustang Hood

Lot # 402 (Sale Order: 4 of 100)

The Legends of Ford The Ford Foundation Project SEMA 2009 Internationally renowned airbrush artist Mickey Harris and Edsel Ford II came up with a unique way to raise money and awareness for JDRF (The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) at SEMA in 2009. The hood of a 2010 Mustang was used as the canvas for this amazing tribute to the Mustang. It looks different than the hood used on the 2010 production Mustang's and we were told that this was a discarded hood possibly a design that was never used is our guess. This was painted in the Ford booth and is entitled, "The Legends of Ford." It was an amazing experience watching the Mustangs, Sunsets, Flames and the Ford Logo come to life over the course of a week. This hood is 1 of 1 and will not be duplicated. Not to take away from the other celebrities who signed the hood because they are all incredible people but we were told by a representative from The Ford Foundation that what makes this piece of automobilia so special is that Edsel Ford II rarely signs or autographs anything only doing so to help other families that deal with this devastating illness. It hits home for Edsel Ford II as his son suffers from Type 1 Diabetes. Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) built the 1969 Mustang Fastback immortalized on the hood. GAS built this live on stage during the week of SEMA. The hood is signed by Edsel Ford II, John Force, Ashely Force, Robert Hight (NHRA Drag Racing Champions), Steve Saleen, Parnelli Jones, Chip Foose, Vaughn Gitten, Jr. and Mickey Harris. There is also an unknown signature that appears on the hood that hasn't been identified but is more than likely a celebrity at SEMA that year. We are very sad to have to sell this incredible piece of artwork, however due to our daughter's illness and the need to pay for experimental medications, we are left without a choice. We have sold our home and are now renting and have exhausted all other financial avenues. It is our hope that this will find it's way into a collection and be cared for and enjoyed for many years to come.

1974 Ford Maverick

Lot # 403 (Sale Order: 5 of 100)

Well very preserved and unmolested car. As the story goes, the car was owned and driven by a little old lady (honestly, that is what the second owners told me when I bought the car) and had accumulated only 13,000 miles by 1996. The second owners only put on another 21,000 miles up until 2007 when they put it into storage. So currently it is showing just over 34,900 miles. Very solid and unmolested. It is equipped with the bulletproof 250cid 6 cylinder engine and automatic transmission. It has power steering and manual brakes. Runs and drives very well. Since coming out of storage the engine has been tuned and serviced. The car has been inspected and tested. It is quite a solid driver. Steering is tight, brakes work well, cooling system and charging system work fine. Battery is new. Tires are in good condition. Needs carpet and headliner along with interior detailing and other light mechanical touch up to be fully resurrected. Original bucket seats, rear seat upholstery, dash and door panels are in excellent condition. Body and frame structure are in excellent condition.

1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Coupe

Lot # 418 (Sale Order: 20 of 100)

This Ford Mustang coupe is a low-mileage, numbers matching, Washington car and has had only three owners since new. The car has remained in the family since its purchase from the first owner approximately 20 years ago. It features a striking green exterior and two-toned green interior as well as a smooth automatic transmission and original numbers-matching engine. 1967 MG B Roadster

Lot # 422 (Sale Order: 24 of 100)

This is a gorgeous 1967 British Racing Green with Black/White piping interior MGB Roadster. Comes equipped with a relatively new full top, and a car cover. I bought it from a local expert in restoration of British/European collector cars, and it was beautifully and correctly restored in approximately 2005. It has been driven less than 7000 miles since. It starts, runs and drives extremely well. The glass appears original and crack free. All dash knobs, switches, and pulls are in good working order and the entire electrical system functions well. It was professionally restored inside and out. The paint and chrome are excellent. It has a very straight body and it is rust-free. The wire wheels are painted and the tires still have plenty of miles left. I just received a $1,100 tune-up…so this is ready to go, and a very reliable driver. This beauty has always been garaged, and very very rarely has it seen the rain. This is a GREAT CAR. The engine pulls very strong, shifting is great, clutch and brakes operate as they should. According to many collector forums and magazines, 1967 was THE best year for collectors, as it was the last year for this dash, and it was just prior to any modifications the U.S. mandated for various safety requirements, which ultimately led the MG’s to receive fully rubber bumpers. Haggerty Insurance has a #1 valued at $29,000 and a #2 valued at $20,700. NADA has a High Retail of $33,200. Based on these valuations, the car is good value with even more upside for you. While the most critical eyes may not consider this “concourse”, this is a BEAUTIFUL car, and in my opinion, somewhere higher than a #2. These classic collector cars just keep appreciating !! Own it today and enjoy the summer !!

1964 Chevrolet Nova

Lot # 423 (Sale Order: 25 of 100)

NO RESERVE!!! VIN: 40469W110841 Mileage: 99,030 Only 18 months after giving designers the green light, GM produced and presented the first Chevy II (soon to be known as the Chevrolet Nova). The first production of the Chevy II rolled off the Willow Run, Michigan assembly line in August 1961, and the new GM Chevy was introduced not long after in the following month. As one can see by the simple lines and lack of cosmetic flair, the Chevrolet Nova was never envisioned to be a revolutionary automotive concept. Instead, GM produced the car with the intention of creating a car that offered “maximum functionalism and thrift”. The first generation of the Chevrolet II (Nova) was produced from 1962-1965 and was offered in 5 body styles: 2-Door Sedan, 2-Door Hardtop, 2-Door Convertible (only available from ‘62-’63), 4-Door Sedan and 4-Door Station Wagon. At the beginning of the first generation, the Nova included a Chevrolet 153 4-cylinder engine and a new third generation 194cu in Chevrolet straight-6 engine. Our 1964 Chevrolet Nova is finished in a deep burgundy and features its original straight-6 230 cu in engine and 2-Speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Through extremely solid underneath, there is a rusty reaction under the right rear trunk area causing the paint to lift. This is likely due to poor prep on the paint. There is also some rust on the door bottoms. Purchase of the vehicle will include replacement doors, as well as other parts to go with the car. It features kickin’ tunes. The car runs excellently and has been driven hundreds of miles in the last few weeks. We also have correct front seats that will need upholstery, as well as the original style rear springs to replace the modified ones that are currently on the car. This is a great runner and driver that would be an easy project. A desirable year, this Nova Chevy II can be fun for the whole family. You can modify it as a resto-mod or make it stock again. It gets great gas mileage and turns heads wherever it goes.
