It features an outdoor style billboard with pin-up models around it, as well as two hanging from strings to make this sign a mobile as well. The sign is approximately 12-3/4 inches x 8-1/4 inches, with the two hanging cutouts measuring 5-1/2 inches x 3-1/4 inches and 6-1/2 inches x 3-1/4 inches. 1951 Chevy Low Rider Truck by Jada (1/24 scale)

Mid 1930s Goudey "Oh-Boy-Gum" Tin Litho Advertising Sign

Lot # 179 (Sale Order: 179 of 350)      

This is a brightly colored advertising sign for Oh-Boy-Gum. This sign is of a boy holding four packs of gum with a grinning elf whispering in his ear. The Goudey Gum Company of Boston and Chicago released the Oh-Boy-Gum as its first product, and the name Oh-Boy became associated with other Goudey products. The sign was made by the H. D. Beach Company, measures approximately 7-1/4 inches x 15-1/2 inches, and is in very good condition with 2 tiny nail holes (one at the top and one on the bottom and not detracting from the sign). Two Fishing Tackle Displays by Sevenstrand

This lot is for two fishing tackle displays made by Sevenstrand circa 1980. This company has been producing exceptionally high quality fishing tackle for over 60 years in Hunting Beach, California. Sevenstrand is dedicated to sport fishing, and these lures are some of the reasons they are famous. The first card is for a lure or jig called 102 Octopus, and it has 24 different octopus shaped jigs mounted to the card. The second display is a mix of different sized weighted hooks and jigs; there are 23 jigs and eight sizes of weighted hooks. Girard Perregaux Lady's Gold Wristwatch

County of Shasta, California Original Porcelain Sign

This is a vintage porcelain sign from Shasta County, California. The image features Shasta Dam with water coming over the spillway, the lake behind the dam, and Mount Shasta in the center-back. It is a six color porcelain sign with the following colors: tan, black, green, blue, white, and brown. The size is approximately 12-3/8 inches in diameter on thick steel. The colors are bright and vivid with no chips except around the mounting holes. There is a small scratch on the bottom that does not detract at all from the sign. These weekly publications printed by Street & Smith in New York sold for 5 cents each. These three issues are: #437 dated September 25, 1909; #438 dated October 2, 1909; and #440 dated October 16, 1909. Each is approximately 8 inches x 11 inches in size, made of pulp paper, and is very fragile. In fact, even somewhat dog eared. These look great in a plastic sleeve as the graphics are super. Probably best to read them once, then put them back in the sleeve....more

Assortment of Seven Columbia River Arrowheads from the Obie Site

Lot # 186 (Sale Order: 186 of 350)      

Offered is an assortment of seven Columbia River arrowheads and points. These drills or arrowheads offer a cross section of the different material used in the region. The two large, long narrow drills are approximately 1-7/8 inches and 1-1/2 inches long x 1/2 of an inch wide; the two smaller drills are approximately 1 inch x 1/2 of an inch; and the remaining three arrowheads slightly larger at approximately 1-1/2 inches x 5/8 of an inch. These pieces were found by Walt and Gladys Koch and have remained in their collection until now. They were found circa 1960 at the Obie Site on the Columbia River, a well known artifact site where the Oregon Archaeological Society members worked in the 1950s and 60s....more

This is a very simple handbill or telephone pole poster. This piece advertises an event at the Family Dog on The Great Hiway held on June 25th. This is where the Family Dog moved their concert and events after leaving the famed Filmore in June 1969. The venue was the former Edgewater Ballroom, part of the Playland At The Beach complex in San Francisco. The Family Dog was only in at this location a couple years, and we could find no reference to this event in their history. Dakota Maid Flour Die-Cut Easel-Back Display Sign

This die-cut paper-lithograph-on-cardboard easel-back display sign is an advertising piece for Dakota Maid flour. This free-standing sign depicts the Dakota Maid Native American woman. She has an interesting smile and is wearing a beaded buckskin dress, moccasins, and a feathered headband while holding a five-pound sack of Dakota Maid flour. The sign measures approximately 39 inches x 14 inches at the base and is in excellent condition with colors that are bright with no fading or scratches. 1974 Golden State Country Bluegrass Festival Poster with Jerry Garcia

This 1974 poster was for the Golden State Country Bluegrass Festival held at Marin Veterans' Memorial Building and Grounds in San Rafael, California on April 26, 27, and 28, 1974. Rick Shubb of Carousel Ballroom poster-artwork fame created the poster's art work, also. This event had almost every living bluegrass icon and many of the hottest folk and country acts present. On the second day of the event, the Great American String Band performed with members Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Richard Green, and Taj Mahal. There is an iconic picture by John Sievert of John McEuen, Steve Martin, and Garcia "pickin' and grinnin'" together at the festival. This approximately 18-1/2 inch x 27-3/4 inch poster is the first and only printing and is on thick stock with great color. As to the condition, this poster has dings to the corners with part of the bottom left corner missing; however, it is still a great poster that is seldom seen!...more

1920s Advance Model D Gumball Machine

This lot is for a circa 1925 advance model D gumball machine. This machine is made of rolled sheet metal and has a flush-mounted nickel-plated brass coin mechanism with patent dates from 9-11-1917, 11-5-1912, and 4-24-1923. This was made in Chicago by Advance Machine Company and has its original small globe. As was common with these old machines, this one was repainted years ago and has some runs in the paint. The decal is new and there are some chips to the bottom opening of the globe (also very common, but mentioned for accuracy). The size is approximately 14 inches x 7 inches x 7 inches, and this machine comes with the original bottom lock and key, as well as a small lock and key for the top.
