Eight Color Prints of the Old West by Frederic Remington

Here is a complete set of Frederic Remington's "Buckskins Portraits of the Old West" color illustrations. These were issued by Penn Prints in 1956 and are marked as such on the lower right corner of each print. All eight are in this set and include: Old Ramon, A Cheyenne Buck, A Breed, A Cavalry Officer, A Sioux Chief, A Trapper, An Arizona Cowboy, and An Army Packer. Each print is approximately 12-1/4 inches x 16-1/4 inches and has its original color with no folds, creases, or tears. Three Halloween Candy Holders

These cute Halloween party candy containers are circa 1950 and in excellent condition. The baskets with the witches are approximately 2-1/2 inches in diameter x 4-1/2 inches tall, with the pumpkin being paper mache and approximately 2-1/2 inches x 2-1/2 inches. The consignor had one of the pumpkins with its original price tag still attached stating, "Meier & Frank Dept. Store 10 cents." All three containers are in excellent condition....more

Two Bronze Maidens and Cherub Sculpture

This lot is a classical Greek inspired bronze sculpture of two maidens and a cherub. One maiden is holding a hammer and pan in her hands as she looks down at the smaller maiden in her arms. There is a small cherub tugging at her robe as well. This piece has a mix of natural looking polished brass with green patina. It is fresh from a local estate and has not been cleaned or polished. It is a nice size for display at approximately 19 inches tall x 10 inches deep x 10 inches wide. This looks to be a one-piece hollow cast bronze, yet it still weighs in at just over 23 pounds. We could not find a maker's mark or signature on this nice looking piece....more

Offered is a vintage beer can for Grand Prize Beer. This is a 12-ounce flat-top can from the Gulf Brewing Company of Houston, Texas. The can is circa 1960 and has a bright crisp metallic label with strong colors. The can's top lid was cut with a can opener; hence, it exhibits some teeth marks along the top rim. Mule Ear Knife from Wakemap Mound

Offered is a Columbia River agate mule ear knife found at the Wakemap Mound site outside of Wishram Village in Washington. There were many organized digs there by the Oregon Archaeological Society in the mid to late 1950s before The Dalles Dam was built. The site is now surrounded by water due to the construction and completion of the dam. Three Artifacts from Ohbie Site on Columbia River

This lot features three artifacts that were all found circa 1960 at the Ohbie site on the Columbia River,a well-known site where members of the Oregon Archaeology Society worked. The first artifact is an elk's tooth (or part of one) that looks as if part of it broke off where a hole was made through the tooth. The second and third artifacts are two stone pendants; one pendant has grooves cut into it on one end, and the other pendant is a teardrop shaped rock or charm. The teardrop shaped piece is the largest at 1-1/4 inches x 7/16 inches x 3/16 inches with the other two pieces measuring approximately 3/4 inches x 1/2 inches....more

Five Vintage Sterling Silver Rings

Offered in this lot is an assortment of five vintage sterling silver rings. These are all right out of the sixties or seventies. The two rings that are similar to one another, with the peace symbols on one and the Native American type of design on the other, are both size 6. The smooth silver elongated looking ring is a size 7. The last two are both size 9-1/2 with one having a plus in a circle and the other a snake with small red eyes. The rings are marked 925 or Sterling, except the elongated oval ring, which is unmarked. All the rings have been tested and are guaranteed to be silver with a combined weight of 22 grams....more

Set of Six Lucky Strike Bridge Tally Cards/Luncheon Place Cards

Back in the 1940s when people smoked and had bridge luncheons, these whimsical bridge tally/place cards were distributed by Lucky Strike Cigarettes. Unassembled, these cards are approximately 5-1/4 inches and assembled they are approximately 4-1/2 inches tall. This set includes a Mexican senor and senorita, a Dutch milkmaid, an Italian chef, an Asian lady, and an Irish gentleman. Lucky Strike cigarettes were inserted as legs in order for the card to stand up. Also, each card has a place for a match to be inserted. Five of these cards have never been assembled, and the colors are bright with no fading or tears....more

The Steve Miller Band at the Carousel Ballroom from 1968

This poster shows elements of the acid-crazed late 1960s in San Francisco depicting some of the illustrated characters that hint at the later animated cult classics like Fritz the Cat, Wizards, and Yellow Submarine. This concert was a three-day event that was held at the Carousel Ballroom in San Francisco on April 26-28, 1968. The Steve Miller Band was the headliner with James and Bobby Purify and Sons of Champlin being the other groups on the bill. This size is approximately 11 inches x 14 inches, and it was drawn by artist, Rick Shubb. This is in great condition and has never been used, so there are no tack holes, folds, or creases....more

TV's Lassie Playbook (To Punch Out and Set Up)

"Lassie, take us to Timmy!" A real blast from the past! This vintage, like-new playbook was originally published by the Whitman Publishing Company in 1959, but reprinted in 1965. The book is made of heavy card stock with images to be punched out (no scissors are necessary), folded, and played with. Besides the mother and father, there is of course, Timmy and Lassie along with the house, barn, farm animals, and a whole lot more. This book measures approximately 10 inches x 14 inches and is in excellent condition with no fading, creasing, or tears. All the pages are intact and have bright colors. You couldn't find one in better condition....more

Lucky Lager and National Bohemian Beer Proof Sheet

Offered is a linen mounted proof sheet. These sheets, that were once printed, were mounted on either cardstock or cardboard and then cut out to make the different beer signs. The illustrations on this sheet are for Lucky Lager Beer from Interstate Brewery Company of Vancouver, Washington and National Bohemian Pale Beer from Baltimore, Maryland. The overall size is approximately 23 inches x 37 inches with the largest bottle measuring approximately 29 inches x 7 inches while the smallest bottle is approximately 7 inches x 3 inches.The Lucky Lager bottle labels both are IRTP labels, making this piece pre 1950. 36 Cut and Polished Agates

Agate is a translucent variety of quartz and is used as a semi-precious stone when it is of desirable quality and color. These pieces fall into that category with a combination of interesting colors and designs. There are 36 stones in total, with the smallest being approximately 1/2 inches x 1/2 inches and most stones being over 1 inch in size. The frame is 11 inches x 11 inches edge to edge. Some of these are "picture agate," and the images in the stones resemble plants or, in some cases, landscapes. We showed these to a collector and he was impressed with the quality of the stones and how well they were polished. These are sold sealed in the frame, exactly as received. Swallow's Root Beer was bottled by the Cleo Cola Company of Muncie, Indiana. This vintage bottle topper is new "old stock," and is approximately 5 inches x 6-3/4 inches. The topper wants you to try a large bottle of the healthful and refreshing root beer. There are no tears, folds, or creases in this piece and the color is sharp. It took the consignor forever to collect the right bottle to complement this topper. The bottle was filled to take pictures, but will be shipped empty....more

Perhaps the best coin in this lot is the 1970-D Kennedy half dollar included in the 1970 mint set. It was struck in 40% silver and, more importantly, was not issued for circulation.
