The subjects are "The Chatterer" (Garrulus carolinensis), "The Painted Finch" (Avis tricolor). and "The Blew Grosbeak" (Coccothraustes coerulcus). LATE 19TH & EARLY 20TH CENTURY ART PRINTS

A collection of art prints from a range of sources, books, newspapers, posters, etc. The collection includes a selection of pages and sections from Harper's Weekly from 1874 and 1875 including much if not all of the serialized novel "The Lady and the Law" by Wilkie Collins, and numerous full page illustrations by contemporary Harper's contributors including Winslow Homer. The book "Adventures of America 1857 - 1900: A pictorial Record from Harper's Weekly" by John A. Kouwenhoven (1938). Six hand colored prints from “The Bottle,” a series of temperance themed illustrations by George Cruikshank originally published in 1847 an accompanying a poem by Charles Mackay. The prints illustrate a man’s decent to madness via alcoholism. “The Bottle” saw wide distribution during the temperance movement and multiple re-printings. Twelve 19th century French (16 in x 12 in) black and white prints from various artists originally produced for Photogravure Goupil & Co (Paris) and released by D. Appleton & Co (New York). Detailed prints of the 1935 Packacrd automobiles: one of the 1935 Packard Twelve Coupe Roadster, and one of the Packard Eight Convertible Sedan. The items are in good condition overall with a degree of differential paper preservation.
