Amateur oil on canvas painting signed G.P. Anderson in the lower right of the surrender of the German Imperial Naval fleet at Scapa Flow, Scotland which included the battle cruisers, battleships, cruisers, and destroyers later scuttled at the site. The canvas measures 16.5 by 11.5 inches and is framed to 19 by 14 inches. Overall in good condition, but in need of stabilization and cleaning. A very unique depiction of this pivotal WWI event. Poster measures approximately 60 by 80 cm, 89 by 110 cm framed and is quad-matted in il Tricolore. The poster has been treated, linen-backed, and framed for preservation. Poster was thoroughly and satisfactorily inspected while framed and exhibits the qualities of period lithographic printing techniques, wear, and age.
