Dismounted foot soldier's dress coat and trousers, Pennsylvania State Militia buttons, nine-button front, Horstmann maker marked, no keystone above eagle, 23 total buttons, Khaki with red wine piping, collar, shoulders and cuffs, no name or tags, very good condition, free of mothing, tears or detractions, however the bottom of coat is unfinished.

1880 PATTERN WHITE SUMMER CORK 13TH INF HELMET

Lot # 2028 (Sale Order: 28 of 346)      

White cork officers helmet with the fitted and dress tops, Federal contract tag inside dated 1890. This U.S. helmet is listed in the book, "U.S. Army Headgear, 1865-1902" on page 90, has sweatband, some internal mothing and outer water stains, the cork is very good.

1898 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA GARRISON FLAG

Lot # 2036 (Sale Order: 36 of 346)      

Flag measures approximately 70 inches in height and 78 inches in length. Two piece Modern pole measures approximately 112 inches in length. Canton measures approximately 36 by 38 inches, and stripes measure approximately 6 inches. Included with flag is the Irish 6th Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Association flag which measures approximately 18 by 25 inches. Also included with flag are 3 streamers. First streamer reads " Camp Alger VA. June 25th 1898", second steamer reads "From 2nd Tenn. U.S INFT Vols", and third reads "To 6th PA Regt U.S. Inft Vols." Silk flag features some sunlight damage such as splits and holes. Overall in good to very good condition.

SPANISH-AMERICAN SOLIDER FULL-PLATE TINTYPE

Painted full-plate tintype of an American soldier in artillery dress M1902 uniform. The entire surface is over-painted except for the face. Red piping and brass buttons with red shoulder boards match several variations on the M1902 artillery dress uniform. Full plate measures slightly larger than standard at 8.75 by 7 inches. Military tintype plates, scarce in full-plate size, has at this has wear at the edges and paint smear on the forehead, overall in very good condition. This lot has a reserve.

Arabic numeral triple sunk dial inscribed "Waltham Watch Co." and "8 Days" and blued steel hands, stem-wind, stem-set 3/4 plate damascened movement marked Waltham Watch Co. 8 Days, 15jewels, adjusted, movement number 18074122, dating piece 1912-1915, all set in brass gimbals and three tiered mahogany box, overall dimensions, 4.9 inches cube. Very good condition; side dial missing. Runs very well; no implied warranty.

Louis Raemaeker (Dutch, 1869-1956) two large format (15.5 by 18 inches) volume “The Century Edition de Luxe of Raemaekers War Cartoon” 1917 named and numbered edition 300/1050 printed for “Estelle Pattillo Boynton” and signed by the secretary of the Century Co. Forward by Theodore Roosevelt, Introduction by H. Perry Robinson. 125 tipped-in color-plates with descriptions on facing pages. Cartoons range from satirical humor to somber and emotive. Book, dust jacket (some edge fraying), binding, and pages are in very good condition for their age, some shelf wear. Several plates have discoloration from the text on the facing pages. Overall in very good condition.

Compass map case filled with WWI period car and rail maps of War Zone Europe, under the celluloid cover a map with Verdun circled, under the flap is hand written, Lt. Commander Charles S. Stephenson M. C. U.S. Navy Verdun, France 1918, Stephenson was attached to Naval Railway Batteries in France, he was wounded at Verdun in 1918, served with the Marine Corp expeditionary force in northern China 1927-28, appointed by Roosevelt in 1942 to direct the U.S. Typhus Commission, eponym Rear Admiral Charles S. Stephenson award for excellence in Navy occupational health preventative and/or health promotion by the Department of Defense.
