Very Rare W Wurfflein Forward Breech Percussion Pistol

Dark brown patina, fair bore, octagon barrel appears to be 10" however the barrel is only 6" and is fired by the hammer striking a plunger rod pushing it forward to connect with the primer, tool free removable nipple/breech plug (should be evaluated by a professional gunsmith prior to firing to confirm that nipple/breech plug will not become unseated from the pressure of firing) strong engraved back action lock marked W. Wurfflein Phila, adjustable set trigger, nickel plated brass furniture shows peeling on trigger guard, barrel held via a single wedge pin, wood stock with skip line checkering and tack decorations shows light handling. Engraved National Arms Co Teat Fire Revolver

.32, 3 1/4" bbl, SN 21932. 50% nickel finish on barrel and cylinder shows moderate flaking, good bore, brass frame shows small areas of nickel plating, the teat fire cartridge does not have a rim on the rear of the case instead it is rounded with a small teat that contains the priming mixture, this teat sits into a small opening at the rear of the cylinder as the rounds are loaded from the front of the cylinder, with this design the ejector mechanism on the right side of the frame pushes the empty cases from the rear out the front of the cylinder, cocks and advances as it should, engraved barrel, frame and cylinder, bird head wood grips show average handling.
