Fantastic museum quality Native American Artifact collection. This auction features an extensive collection of bannerstones and birdstones. Arrow points span from the Archaic and Paleo periods to the Woodland and Mississippian periods. Points are of assorted origins and grades, most with authentications. This auction includes Clovis points, calf creek, turkey tail points, tang knife, dovetail, and so much more! Also included in this auction are Native American Arrows and pottery. The entire sale will sell with no reserves, however there are a few starting bids that will open up the bidding well below the value.

This is a massive one owner private Native American Artifact Collection. The entire collection has been sent in to multiple sources over the years for authentication and grading. We have pictured the authentication and grading certificate with the items.

This is a small to medium size, ultra thin, ovate blade that is l...moreikely a preform to the "Jacks Reef Corner Notched" point or some similar small, corner notched types, including several bird point types such as Scallorn. It has convex lateral blade edges that are widest just below the equatorial belt where they begin contracting into a well rounded basal edge. Over all thinness, size and craftsmanship of this point suggest it was a usable knife/ pouch tool prior to notching and finishing. Good sorbed deposits, authigenic accumulations, use wear and patina are observed. Authentication by Butler.

Origin: Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Material: Gray chert. Florence C variant. Heavily laden with grit inclusions. Length: 2-3/16". Width: 1-9/16". Grade: 10. This is a medium...more size, triangular point that has straight blade edges. Deep, parallel sided, basal notches create long, drooping barbs that turn inward toward the stem, near the baseline. Parallel notching also creates a squared stem that has a straight basal edge. Correct construction for the type with good hinge coloring, authigentic accumulations and a nice natrually aged patina are noted. Authentication by Butler.

This is a large size point that has convex blade edges that become ...moreparallel sided as they transition into strong, horizontal shoulders. Wide corner notches define an expanding stem that has a straight basal edge. Short, tight edge work or beveling is apparent on all four blade edges. Beveling is not extreme and is correct for the type. Authigenic accumulations with good hinge coloring and a nice, naturally aged patina are noted. Authentication by Butler.

This is an example of an unfluted Clovis point ...morethat has convex, upper blade edges that become recurved as they constrict into a parallel sided stem. Stem edges drop straight down into slightly flaring basal auricles. The basal edge is concave and the haft is well ground. Correct form and craftsmanship with excellent sorbed deposits and authigenic accumulations visible. Nice, naturally aged patina is noted. This is a rare type.
