Fantastic museum quality Native American Artifact collection. This auction features an extensive collection of bannerstones and birdstones. Arrow points span from the Archaic and Paleo periods to the Woodland and Mississippian periods. Points are of assorted origins and grades, most with authentications. This auction includes Clovis points, calf creek, turkey tail points, tang knife, dovetail, and so much more! Also included in this auction are Native American Arrows and pottery. The entire sale will sell with no reserves, however there are a few starting bids that will open up the bidding well below the value.

This is a massive one owner private Native American Artifact Collection. The entire collection has been sent in to multiple sources over the years for authentication and grading. We have pictured the authentication and grading certificate with the items.

This is a "winged" type bannerstone that h...moreas a thick, barrel shaped center that accommodates a well drilled through hold that exhibits good cylindrical striations with expected smoothing from atl-atl attachment. The through hole divides the bannerstone into wings that flare away from the center. The ends of the wings expand and are convex shaped. Nice, naturally aged patina with good use-wear, sorbed deposits and authigenic accumulations noted. Authentication by Butler.

Material: Red Quartz. Origin: Spencer, Indiana. X- Theron Johnson Collection. Length: 2-1/2". Width: 2-1/2". Grade: 9. This is a medium size bannerstone that has a well d...morerilled through hole with flared rims and flat ends. The through hole still shows remnants of correct drilling striations (cylindrical), deep inside the tube. Thin, flaring wings accentuate this highly stylized bannerstone. The reverse side has a somewhat flattened appearance, having a slightly convex bottom. The facade of both ends appear trapezoidal or having 3 distinct rounded sides. Nice, naturally aged patina and use wear sheen with authigenic accumulations noted. Authentication by Butler.
