Exceptionally Rare Swedish Model 1881 Jarmann Bolt Action Rifle

Lot # 434 (Sale Order: 434 of 711)

serial #518, 10.15x61R, 32" barrel with an excellent bore. This 1883 dated trials rifle is in excellent overall condition with the finish retaining nearly 98-99% original blue that has light handling wear and is lightly flaking to brown with a few areas that have specks of very fine surface oxidation present. The steel buttplate shows the most wear with light oxidation and abrasions, most likely from spending a good portion of its life on a rack. The bolt assembly is in the white and has a light gray patina slowly spreading over its surface and mixing with a few lights spots of surface oxidation. The receiver and barrel markings are all crisp and all numbers are matching. The left side of the receiver is marked "(crown)/C / J.P 1883 J.G." and the barrel is marked with the same stampings as well. The wood has some light added finish but otherwise rates excellent having only a few light dings. The area under the action has a blank brass diamond held on with two screws, which most likely would have served as an ID plate had the rifle been adopted and issued. The rifle's features include an eight shot tubular magazine and magazine disconnect on the left side of the receiver. The forward sling swivel and cleaning rod are missing but the rifle otherwise is complete. These Jarmann rifles saw a very limited production with only 30,000 of the Norwegian Model 1884 rifles, having been produced. The Swedish rifles saw even less production, about 1500, and were never adopted for service. The first 500 were the two-band variation, made for the Royal Life Guard, and the remaining 1000 were this three-band variation produced for the Navy. Many were destroyed by the Germans or sold as surplus and/or converted to the M28 Harpoon rifle. This exceptional early three-band example is only missing two very minor parts and would make and exceptional addition to any military collection. A must have for a true Swedish enthusiast. Edm Arms Model 96 Windrunner Bolt Action Rifle

Lot # 436 (Sale Order: 436 of 711)

serial #385, 50 BMG, 30" match grade fluted barrel with integral Shark style compensator and a like new likely unfired bore. The metal surfaces on this massive 38 lb repeater retain 99% original blue and anodized finish and rate like-new overall with the exception of a few small spots of light surface oxidation from storage. Rifle features a CNC machined 4140 alloy receiver that is Rockwell hardened 40-42. The receiver has a collapsible adjustable stock with fold out monopod, a Hogue AR-15 style pistolgrip and an M-60 bipod that is mounted to the front lug. Oddly this rifle comes with a left hand cheekrest (the cheekrest is easily removed and a correct right hand model should be easy to obtain and install) which prevents the bolt opening fully, lending more to the notion that the rifle has not been fired since it left the factory. The receiver is also equipped with a picatinny top rail for your choice of appropriate quality optics. Included are the factory takedown hard case, manual, two five round detachable magazines, two fired cases, a rubber thread cover and a padded black nylon sling. Besides being known for their accuracy and long range consistency, this rifle can be easily be taken-down or assembled in less than one minute without tools and stored in the hard case. This unique feature to this company's design does not affect the head space or accuracy and the barrel is easily assembled or removed by an Uzi style barrel nut. A terrific tactical long range rifle in near-new overall condition that would be the envy of all your .50 caliber aficionado friends and shooting competitors. (46923-13)
