Colt Custom Shop Python Revolver

Lot # 1000 (Sale Order: 1 of 984)      

serial #LA6692, 357 Magnum, 8" ventilated rib barrel with an excellent bore. This is a beautiful revolver enhanced by factory custom shop touches that remains in excellent condition. The metal surfaces of this 1980-made revolver retain about 98% original factory blue finish with a light turn ring on the cylinder, slight storage wear on the right side of the barrel and few minor handling marks. The checkered rubber Pachmayr "Gripper" grips rate excellent. The revolver's action has been custom shop tuned with a Patridge front sight installed and the famed Colt Elliason rear sight added. The gun includes the original wood grain, Styrofoam insert box, that is in fair to good condition and paperwork. The labeled end flap has torn off but is provided. The original factory end label is correct and numbered to this gun. Also included is the Colt custom shop label that was adhered over the original end label but has since fallen off; but is correctly numbered the gun and outlines work performed. Colt Python Double Action Revolver

serial #60241, 357 Magnum, 4" ventilated rib barrel with an excellent bore. This late 1966 made revolver is in very good to excellent condition. The metal surfaces retain about 87 - 90% original blue finish with high edge wear, thinning backstrap, silvering along the left side of the barrel and two chambers having thinned to gray on the cylinder. There are also a few oxidation blemishes present plus several areas of light surface pitting scattered about the muzzle and cylinder. serial #51627E, 357 Magnum, 4" ventilated rib barrel with an excellent bore. This revolver is in near excellent condition with strong finish remaining but the factory grips have been customized. The metal surfaces retain about 98% original blue finish with lightly cleaned oxidation stains and pinprick pitting on the barrel, a few light scratches and a moderate turn ring on the cylinder. The original factory target grips have been heavily modified into a finger groove configuration with a clear acrylic base added. Scarce Heckler & Koch P7 K3 Semi-Auto Pistol

serial #3288, 32 ACP, 3 3/4" barrel with an excellent bore. This importer marked, limited production German variant of the K3 remains in excellent condition and appears to have seen little if any use. The metal surfaces retain about 99% original matte black finish with a few minor handling and operational marks. The black synthetic factory grips with stippled finish rate excellent. This pistol features the German variant solid one-piece three dot rear sight and Patridge style front sight. In addition to the unique squeeze cocker system the K3 series pistols have a removable barrel that allows it to be converted to 380 ACP or 22 LR with appropriate conversion kits. This pistol includes the factory hard case that is correctly labeled and numbered to the gun, a pair of 7.65mm marked factory magazines, take down tool, German language instruction manual, test target numbered to this gun, spare left grip panel and an H&K lapel pin. The revolver retains about 85% plus original blue finish that is wearing to brown with pewter overtones on the grip frame, moderate high edge wear, scratches, a few oxidation blemishes and slot screw damage on the crane lock screw. The face of the trigger is wearing to pewter with the sides of the hammer lightly stained from oxidation. The checkered replacement rubber Pachmayr Compac grips are in excellent condition. This gun is one of the last assembled with pre-war parts before the second series was launched in 1947. The pistol is fitted with a correct set of extended checkered plastic factory grips with Colt monograms and they rate like new. The gun features a black blade square notch windage adjustable rear sight and elevation adjustable Patridge front sight. The metal surfaces retain about 98% factory blue finish with light forward edge wear, turn ring on the cylinder and a few minor handling marks. The revolver is fitted with a set of striking diamond checkered walnut Roper grips that rate excellent. The underside of the grips has the signature "Gagne's jig holes". The grips are relieved along the backstrap and have the famed fingertip border on the left panel.
