Smith & Wesson Model 41 Semi-Auto Pistol

Lot # 376 (Sale Order: 376 of 1029)      

serial #17561, 22 LR, 7 3/8" barrel with an excellent bore. This pistol retains about 95% original blue and anodized finishes with most of the loss to the muzzle area, which is toning to brown along with a few scattered handling marks. The checkered walnut double finger groove factory walnut grips rate very good with scattered light dents, scuffs, a few worn diamond points and thinning finish on the high edges. This earlier pistol has a cocking indicator, has an aluminum barrel weight installed and is fitted with a factory muzzle brake. Also included are a factory box correctly end labeled and numbered to the gun, (3) magazines, 1 1/4-ounce steel barrel weight, false muzzle and a manual. Smith & Wesson Model 14-3 K-38 Masterpiece Revolver With Factory Error Marking

Lot # 377 (Sale Order: 377 of 1029)      

serial #K962384, 38 Special, 6" pinned barrel with an excellent bore. An unusual feature of this revolver is the model number on the frame was incorrectly marked by the factory as "Mod / 341". This 1970 made gun retains about 99% original blue with minor handling wear and a turn ring on the cylinder. The .500" target trigger and .500" target hammer retain robust case-hardened colors with light operational marks. The checkered rosewood factory target grips with silver S&W medallions rate very good to excellent with a few scattered light handling marks. The revolver includes a factory box that is correctly end labeled and numbered to the gun, cash sales receipt and a manual. The receipt indicates the pistol was returned to the factory in 1973 to be fitted with a red ramp front sight, white outline rear sight leaf and the rosewood target grips. The gun includes a factory letter dated October 22, 2008 indicating the gun was shipped on September 28, 1972 to Jurek Brothers Inc. of Greenfield Massachusetts as a donation to the United States Revolver Association and won by the previous owner in 1972 (small handwritten notation by owner on form). It was shipped with a blue finish, walnut magna grips and a 6" barrel. The mismarked frame and wonderful condition are sure to pique the interest of discriminating Smith & Wesson collectors. With the huge volume of guns Smith & Wesson manufactures every year, occasionally one will slip through with an error and this little Kit Gun is one of them. The frame has been marked "Mod / 36" but it is definitely a model 34-1 and supported by the correctly labeled factory box. The little gun retains about 98% original blue with light high edge wear, a few scratches and a turn ring on the cylinder. Bold case-hardened colors with a few operational marks grace the standard hammer and trigger. The checkered walnut factory Magna round butt grips with silver S&W medallions are correctly numbered to the gun and rate excellent with a few minor handling marks. This revolver was provided with pair of excellent condition custom Badger rosewood finger groove grips with a mother-of-pearl diamond inlay on the right panel. The revolver features a pair of Mag-na-ports on each side of the barrel, white outline micro adjustable rear sight and red ramp front sight.
