1958 SCARAB RE-CREATION ROADSTER

Lot # 996.1 (Sale Order: 103 of 353)      

Conceived in the late 1950s by Lance Reventlow as an American road race car to rival the Europeans the Scarab had a short but illustrious career. The roadster body was penned by an 18-year-old art student named Chuck Pelly and the Scarab debuted March 1 1958 in the Phoenix area on an old 2.5-mile airport racetrack driven by Bruce Kessler and setting a track record right out of the barrel. Reventlow first raced in Palm Springs in April and won his first race at Santa Barbara in May 1958. Reventlow Automobiles Inc. built a total of eight cars to much success with an array of drivers such as Chuck Daigh Carroll Shelby AJ Foyt Don Devine and Augie Pabst. The last race Carroll Shelby won was in a Scarab at the Continental Divide Raceway. This Scarab re-creation was built in 2013 and is Serial #19 of the continuation series. It is powered by a bored-out 283ci Chevy engine which was completely rebuilt. It has a new Duntov 30-30 solid-lifter cam with Mallory dual-point distributor and custom headers and side pipes. Backing the engine is a new Tremec 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This roadster is equipped with a Winters Performance quick-change differential with 3.43 gears a chromoly frame and 3-point roll bar and weighs approximately 2100 pounds. The chassis uses Corvette C5 disc brakes fuel cell Corvette spindles half-shaft Corvette axles coilover adjustable shocks inboard disc brakes in the back and rack & pinion steering. The hand-built aluminum body is a re-creation of the original race cars and was built in Poland. **TITLED AS A 1958 SCARA SPECC**

The rear is a 1957 with a lock-up differential with 323 gears and the radiator has a dual fan system. Under the hood resides a 4.6-liter 8-cylinder engine from a 2007 Mustang GT mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The console dash and components heater air conditioning cruise control with resume and the steering column were also utilized from the ?07 Mustang. This Fairlane has dome lights running lights 2-speed wipers and washers and a Shaker 500 radio equipped with Sirius XM.

This custom Bronco began as an original 1973 Bronco equipped with the factory Sport Package. It has undergone a complete frame-off custom no-expense-spared rotisserie restoration with attention to fit finish and detail. It retains an uncut body and features a 2? body lift a 3-1/2? Pro Comp chassis lift and 32? Goodyear tires on American Racing wheels. The chassis has been completely restored including a powder-coated frame rebuilt and detailed Detroit TrueTrac front and rear differentials Yukon chromoly 31-spline axles WARN hubs and a new Atlas II transfer case. It?s equipped with Vintage Air custom leather interior power steering power 4-wheel disc brakes aluminum radiator 23-gallon fuel tank hidden stereo and a Flaming River tilt steering column. 1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE SS CUSTOM COUPE

This professionally restored 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS is powered by a brand-new 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine backed by a G-Force 5R 5-speed manual transmission. It also sports a custom twin-turbo setup with two Garrett T-38R turbos pushing 30 pounds of boost. Helping control the diesel engines torque is a dual-disc clutch. The rear end was replaced with a custom-fabricated 9? based on a Ford design. This Chevelle features upgraded front suspension with tubular control arms and heavy-duty springs and rear suspension with traction bars and heavy-duty springs for added stability. The headers custom-fabricated out of 304 stainless steel mount twin GTX2860 turbochargers. All of the accessories were moved down and out of the way so the turbo piping could be in full view. From the upgraded Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners to the custom 18-gallon fuel tank many one-off pieces grace this Chevelle. The interior was fully restored to SS specifications.

After 40 years apart this 1971 Charger R/T was reunited with its original owner who decided upon a complete restoration but at modern-day Resto-Mod performance levels. It has undergone a no-expense-spared complete rotisserie restoration and is finished in its original color scheme with an added rear spoiler and factory rear window louver. All of the work was done by professionals in the field with over 2000 hours put into the build and extensive customization and one-off fabrication throughout. Built as a Pro-Touring modern custom it is powered by a period-correct and professionally built 1971 440ci engine upgraded with Edelbrock aluminum heads aluminum intake manifold and Six Pack electronic fuel injection backed by a Tremec Viper 5-speed manual transmission with a pistol-grip shifter. This Charger is also equipped with a Ford 9 rear end with 3.89 Motive Gear posi-traction differential custom-fabricated 4-link coilover rear suspension Vintage Air power steering Wilwood 4-piston slotted and drilled 4-wheel disc brakes with 12 rotors custom-fabricated stainless-steel full-length exhaust with cutouts and bullet-style tips full leather interior and Foose 18 wheels. This Resto-Mod was a World of Wheels First Place winner and has been driven only test miles since being restored. This factory U-code R/T 440 car is documented with its original Build Sheet and two Fender Tags.

1961 CHRYSLER 300G

This 1961 Chrysler 300G is powered by the new-for-1961 and correct 413/375hp Wedge V8 engine with a dual-quad carburetor Cross-Ram induction system that added 45 ft/lbs to the engines torque output mated to a TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The drivetrains from Chrysler were not stamped with VINs at this point in time. Named for the 300hp HEMI that powered the 1955 original the Chrysler 300 letter cars continued the tradition of the Duesenberg and Packards powerful luxury machines. The 300Gs interior front bucket seats swivel outward and the high console is fitted with front and rear armrest/storage compartments that extend the full length of the interior. The interior is finished in red leather with black dash and carpets with push-button controls for the automatic transmission and the heating and cooling ventilation system. Features include a unique Astra-Dome instrument cluster air conditioning power steering and brakes power windows and locks push-button radio tinted glass and chromed wires with wide whitewall tires. This 1961 Chrysler 300G was the subject of a complete restoration and maintains its original sheet metal bumpers grille and trim. It has been maintained in a museum-like setting by the current owner and is roadworthy. It was formerly part of the Reggie Jackson Collection.

It?s finished in high-impact HEMI Orange with black and orange Legendary interior. This factory U-code GTX is powered by its original matching-numbers 440ci engine that?s been upgraded with the 6-Barrel option backed by its original automatic transmission with pistol-grip shifter and its original 3.23:1 Sure-Grip differential. Stopping power is provided by its factory front disc brakes. The car has driven only a few test miles since its completion. This GTX has garnered numerous accolades including First Place at World of Wheels 2018 and Outstanding Paint Outstanding Restored Outstanding Undercarriage and Outstanding Display Awards the 2018 World of Wheels.

The product of a one-year build and built for SEMA this 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Custom was made with high-quality components. It?s powered by a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. Awarded the Gold Star at SEMA this Kevlar Custom Jeep was nicknamed the ?Sasquatch.? Over 2000 hours went into the build with no expense spared. The exterior was completely disassembled and sprayed in Onyx Kevlar with no detail going untouched. Some of the features include RBP 4 lift with 22 tires a custom front and rear Fab Fours metal bumper with a built-in WARN winch 10th Anniversary metal hood full metal body kit and a display of LED lights on its custom-made racks. On its show tour it has traveled 3723 actual miles. 1955 CHEVROLET 3100 CUSTOM PICKUP

This frame-off-restored 1955 Chevy 3100 custom pickup was recently completed and has less than 100 miles on the build. Finished in DuPont Hot Rod Red this Resto-Mod truck is powered by a GM Performance ZZ 502ci crate engine pushing out over 500hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque. The engine is fueled by twin Edelbrock carburetors with a chrome intake manifold and is surrounded by a finished engine bay showcasing a custom and smoothed firewall. It breathes through Sanderson headers with a 3 MagnaFlow exhaust. A TH400 3-speed automatic transmission transfers the power via an aluminum driveshaft connected to a painted Currie 9 posi-traction rear end with 3:08 gears. The upgraded 4-corner Air Ride Technologies suspension features a TCI front clip with tubular A-arms rack & pinion steering and a TCI triangulated 4-link rear end. The reinforced and boxed frame has been sanded smooth and painted and the truck rides on 20 Boyd Coddington wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber. The custom interior sports TMI seats door panels and headliner along with tilt steering a billet steering wheel and shifter and a set of Auto Meter Antique Series gauges that reside in the custom dash. The customized bed assembly features an oak floor mini tubs and custom latches on the tailgate. All-new chrome new aluminum gas tank new Be Cool aluminum radiator with electric fan new wiring harness new glass all around and power windows complete this custom truck.

The remainder of the running gear and the NP201 transfer case were rebuilt. It is now equipped with a 3.73 axle ratio in the Dana 60 rear end and Dana 44 large-knuckle front differentials. This mostly rust-free truck has had small deficiencies repaired and the entire accessible interior was coated with Dynamat. Every aspect of the undercarriage frame and body voids have been undercoated. Other additions include Hydroboost power brakes custom power steering sound system with hidden Bluetooth and a controller hidden in the ashtray. Everything on the truck with the exception of the original chrome grille has been reconditioned or rebuilt. It has a custom rear sport bumper with the center opened to reveal the original license plate mounting location. This restoration is less than two years old and took over four years to complete. It has 1200 miles since finished. This Dodge won the Dealer?s Choice award at the 2018 River Forks Park Show and Shine the People?s Choice award and the Best 60s award at the 2017 Springfield Car Cruise and Show-n-Shine. It has spent its life in the high desert region of eastern Oregon.
