Stoneware 'Elk in the Forest' water cooler with pinecone lid is in great shape. Research tells me that both Red Wing and RRP Co. of Roseville, OH made this style. Uniform crazing throughout. One minute hairline crack noted from rim down approx. 1-1/2" from top on right quarter. Lid is in good condition with only a few small chips noted on underside of rim. Appears to be a 2 gallon size, measures 12" to top of lid and is 10-3/4" across. Spigot is intact, rotates stiffly, wood tip is worn.
