Pickup for this sale is: Sunday Oct 25 from Noon to 6 pm in Lancaster, Ohio. We will also have a pickup window Tuesday Oct. 27 from 9 am to Noon at our warehouse to accommodate those travelling to pickup. You must pick up during the set pickup hours or you may, at our discretion, either forfeit your items (you will be charged for them) or pick up late with a fee of $30 per furniture lot or $15 per other type of lot charged to your card on file. This is not an invitation to come late. More often than not you will forfeit your items. If you buy a lot, bring enough helpers to get everything loaded out on time. If shipping is not available and you don't pick up you agree to forfeit your items, and they will be disposed of at our discretion, meaning we will either throw them in the dumpster or take ownership of them after billing your card. Please leave yourself enough time to get all your items before the cutoff time. By bidding in this auction you authorize us to bill your card if you do not pick up, even if we dispose of your items. At the cutoff time we will close and we will ask bidders to leave, regardless of whether they have finished removing items. We do not take credit or debit cards for vehicles sold. For vehicles we accept cash, a bank check or wire transfer only. Bring people to help you. If you buy a lot, bring a crew so you can get everything out of the home on time. By bidding in this auction the buyer agrees to follow safe and proper moving, loading and securing procedures when handling all lots purchased in this auction, and when handling any other items at the pickup site. By bidding the buyer also agrees that he/she and any helpers have the experience, training and proper equipment needed to safely move and load the items purchased in this auction, or, if not, that he/she will employ movers that do. The bidder further holds Burns Auction & Appraisal LLC harmless for death, injury or damage to property incurred during the auction pickup. Children are prohibited at all Burns Auction pickups. Buyers agree that once paid for, their purchases located at the pickup site become their (buyer's) responsibility to secure, safeguard and remove. Buyers agree that any items left behind within the property after the pickup hours will be treated as abandoned and disposed of at the discretion of Burns Auction unless other arrangements are made in writing with Burns Auction during the pickup hours and that refunds will not be given. Bidders agree that they are solely responsible for confirming that all of their purchases have been removed and loaded prior to departing the sale site for the day. Bidders also agree that items left behind after pickup hours because of confusion, a mix up, oversight or any other reason will be considered abandoned and disposed of by Burns Auction without any refund to the buyer. Please check over your invoice one last time before leaving to ensure you have everything. We often clean out immediately following a sale's pickup hours and will dispose of what is left behind at our discretion. When applicable, items not picked up the auction location on pickup day will become property of Burns Auction, even if paid for, unless prior written arrangements are made for pickup and agreed to by Burns Auction. Buyers must respond to our shipper and pay for shipping within 14 days of shipper's first call or email to collect payment. If payment for shipping is not received in that time frame then those items will be returned to Burns Auction and will become property of Burns Auction and a refund will not be given. By bidding and not picking up, bidder gives Burns Auction & Appraisal permission to transfer won lots to our shipper for shipping. IF THE DESCRIPTION SAYS SHIPPING NOT AVAILABLE WE WON'T TAKE TO OUR SHIPPER CONTENTS of furniture lots are NEVER included in the lot unless explicitly stated. Bring packing materials and boxes. Bring loading help. We will help as much as we are able to keep things moving quickly. But we may not be able to help with all pieces. We will not help move extremely large or bulky items. Bring help. WE DO OUR BEST TO DESCRIBE ITEMS COMPLETELY. DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT SURE, REFUNDS ARE NOT GIVEN. ALL SALES ARE FINAL! We do our best to help bidders gather and move lots. But lately we have had a surge of buyers purchasing very large items, and then showing up either alone or with completely inadequate help to move their purchases. Thus, for some large or heavy lots, we have added to the item description an added fee that we will charged to your credit card on file if you don't have adequate help to move your item. If you pay for your item, and don't have help and want that item, we're charging the fee to help. If you don't want the item you still have to pay for it, but you won't be required to pay the help fee if you abandon it. We will decide if you have adequate help. For example, if you buy a chest freezer in the basement and bring your 85-year-old father as your only helper, we're charging you for the help. That is, we define inadequate help as not enough able-bodied helpers to complete the job safely. Our number one priority is safety, our number two priority is not causing damage to the home. Inadequate help leads to accidents. If you can't get helpers for one of these items, don't bid, or pay the fee without complaint. For some items we have stated that help is not available. This means that if you don't bring help, we aren't helping and you won't be able to get your item, although you will still have to pay for it. This will apply to extremely large and/or heavy items. You don't have to take the entire lot contents when you buy. Just take what you want. However, any dumping on or near (or anywhere else for that matter) the auction property is strictly prohibited. If you take items and then dispose of them illegally or or near the auction grounds we will charge your card a disposal fee of $200 and file a police report if necessary. By bidding in our auctions you agree to abide by and to follow all of the above terms.
