We do our best to fully describe these gems, as well as any treatments they may have. We don't try to pass off synthetics as the real thing. Nice pieces of US currency. Star Notes, which are also known as replacement notes. They are printed to replace damaged or misprinted notes. They are much rarer than no...morermal notes of the same series. These are what's known as Silver Certificates because printed on the bottom says "ONE DOLLAR IN SILVER PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND." When these notes were in circulation, a person could take them to a bank and trade them for physical silver. Very awesome piece of American history in amazing condition for its age. We're not currency experts, so we can't determine an exact value, but this bill in this condition is worth a good amount. And with physical currency more and more becoming replaced with digital forms of payment, there's a strong chance that these older historical currencies will become even more collectible as people become nostalgic for the days when their wallets and purses were full of beautifully designed notes of exchange.
