Condition is good overall, with a nice nickel-plated blade measuring 26.75'' in length, with Alcoso maker mark at the ricasso. Overall length is 39''. WWII German Naval Officer's Lion's Head Sword

WWII German Naval Officer's Lion's Head Sword, by WKC. Brass lion's head pommel with red and green glass eyes for port and starboard. Decorated handguard and folding fro...morent and rear langets. Large fouled anchor on the front langet (the German navy never adopted the swastika on its swords). The 29'' long blade is etched decorated with floral scenes and a fouled anchor, maker marked at the ricasso with a knight's head and ''WKC''. Condition is good overall. Blade shows age graying and minor rust stains, but no pitting. There are a few very minor edge nicks. Scabbard is leather with decorated brass fittings, showing age cracks, scuffs, and scratches. There is one retaining staple missing from the upper fitting and the fitting is loose. There is a large light gold bullion sword knot tied on the handle. Est.: $600-$1,000.

Stamped on left side of receiver ''(crown)/C'' and ''1943''. ''B'' stamped on left side of bolt carrier. ''(Crown)/C/B'' stamped on magazine case. Visible serial numbers match. Includes one 10-round detachable magazine and cleaning rod. (Ref. the book ''The Swedish Mauser Rifles'', 3rd Edition, by Steve Kahaya and Joe Poyer, page 221.) Condition overall is very good with over 95% of a reblued finish remaining on metal surfaces, appearing as a flat matte color on the bolt carrier and a brighter blue on the smaller parts. Wood has been sanded smooth and refinished with flat matte stain. Action is smooth, bore is very good with sharp rifling. A brown leather sling in very good condition is attached. Egyptian Rasheed (Rashid) Semi-Automatic Carbine, #8282 (in electro-pencil), 7.62x39 cal., 20.5'' barrel, blue finish, pistol-grip wood stock and vented forend, rear slin...moreg loop on bottom left edge of stock, front loop is on left side of forend cap. Rifle also includes a folding bayonet, hooded post front sight, and tangent rear sight with Arabic letters and one 10-round magazine. Left side of receiver is marked ''Made In U.A.R.'' with additional Arabic characters; bottom of barrel is import marked; buttplate is also marked in Arabic; back edge of receiver with ''three stars and crescent moon''. Bottom of grip is stamped with the ''Egyptian Eagle''. Condition is very good with approx. 93%-95% metal finishes. Metal shows general light scuffs and small scratches, sliding cover with a few spots of light surface rust. Bayonet locks into place and retracts properly. Wood shows age and wear consistent with the rest of the rifle including moderate pressure dents and scratches. Markings on left side of receiver are a little worn in spots, otherwise factory markings are mostly clear. Action is smooth and tight; bore is bright, the first inch or two is counter bored. Pistol also exhibits ''(eagle)/N'' and ''(triangle)/O'' markings, as well as ''K'' inspector markings to small parts. Front sight is drift adjustable and appears to be factory. Slide is numbered ''537z''. Condition is fine as converted, retaining approx. 85% overall generally thinning blue. Grips are excellent and show only minor flattening to checks. Mfg'd between 1942-1946, with 84,000 pistols produced. Condition is fine retaining approx. 92% slightly toning arsenal blue. Crisp grips, good action, bright bore. Holster is numbered ''5815'' and marked at time of importation (probably the late 1950s) as ''Made in Sweden''. Stamped on receiver ring with ''(Soviet crest)/1944r/(fletched arrow in triangle)''(symbol of the Izhevsk arsenal). Right side of buttstock shows several faint stamps. Fitted with cleaning rod, long turned-down bolt handle, and scope mount attached to left side of receiver. Rear handguard cap shows significant dents. (Ref. the book ''The Mosin-Nagant Rifle'', by Terrance W. Lapin, front cover.) Condition overall is very good, with refinished metal surfaces retaining over 90% finish showing thinning on muzzle and magazine. Handguard has two small cracks at the rear, and stock shows a pinned repair behind the front band, otherwise wood is very good with overall handling marks. Action is smooth, bore is dark with rust but may clean better. No visible import stamps. Scope mount appears unmarked; scope bracket is marked with small inspection stamps and shows an area of applied welding possibly to adjust tension. Scope tube is marked with A''(Soviet star/hammer/sickle)/half-moon symbol/91/30/No 5-72551''. Scope condition overall is very good with both knobs turning freely and the tube with only a few scratches. Painted rear lens area shows finish wear and light scratches. Scope optics are clear. Right side of receiver is marked ''FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE -HERSTAL-BELGIQUE'', with Belgian proofmarks to the right side. Blade front sight with protective ears and tangent aperture rear sight. Barrel with a bayonet lug. Condition is excellent with approx. 98%+ black finish, the exception being the buttplate which is bright with a few areas of darker spotting. Factory lettering, etc. is clear. Stock is relatively smooth with a small amount of moderate handling marks at the forend and upper handguard; wrist with mild darkening. Mfg'd from 1940-1946 with approx. 84,000 produced. This version differs from the Finnish version as it lacks the Loaded chamber indicator. These pistols were specifically designed for use in cold weather. All visible matching numbers. Condition is fine with approx. 95% original blue, with most of the losses to front sight lug and as very light general thinning. Grips and action are crisp, bore is bright. Holster is in excellent condition with some verdigris at brass fasteners. Accessories, including extra magazine, are very nice. Made on contract for the Luxembourg Army and marked on receiver ring ''AL'' for Army Luxembourg, and on right side of receiver ''FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE-HERSTAL BELGIQUE''. Belgian Tower stamp and ''(flaming bomb)/O'' stamped on left side of chamber/receiver. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt, and receiver cover. Mismatched number (5920) stamped on right side of stock. Stamped cartouche on stock forward of triggerguard. Condition overall is very good with over 80% of the painted finish remaining on metal surfaces, with wear on the buttplate and scratches on the exposed barrel. Triggerguard and magazine have added black paint that was unevenly applied and is scratched on the bottom of the magazine. Wood is very good with mostly light scratches and handling marks and a couple of areas with larger impressions and dents. Action is smooth, bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Venezuelan contract is the only version of this rifle with a factory-fitted muzzlebrake and a thin ribbed buttplate. Condition is fine retaining approx. 95% blue/black finish. Stock with light to just moderate impressions and oil darkening. Matte body of scope with light scuffs and losses. Clear optics, with original sunshade in place. Action is good, bore is fair.
