Late 18th Century Flintlock Coat Pistol, by Firebuck, London, .46 cal., 4'' smoothbore octagonal barrel, lightly engraved hammer, lockplate and upper tang; floral engraved triggerguard with pineapple finial, full-length checkered European walnut stock, with blank silver escutcheon at wrist. Top of barrel marked ''London'', with iron bead front and grooved forward portion of upper tang as rear sight. Complete with turned European walnut ramrod. Condition is fine with just light general toning to metal surfaces. Mild flattening to checks on stock and light scuffs and scratches. Action is good, bore is fine with lightly chamfered crown. Mid-19th Century English Percussion Belt Pistol, by Darian & Martin, .50 cal., 5-1/2'' octagonal barrel marked ''London'' with nickel silver front sight bead, and two silver bands at breech; lightly engraved lockplate, hammer and upper tang; full-length checkered walnut stock, with nickel silver lightly decorated trap in butt for additional percussion caps; left side features belt clip. Condition is very good. Barrel remains mostly bright with light corrosion to center portion. Only the lightest traces of finish remain to triggerguard, which appears to have been cleaned at one point. 19th Century Belgian Halfstocked Coat Pistol, .60 cal., 7-1/2'' swamped octagonal barrel, brown and case hardened finish, decoratively engraved sideplate, triggerguard and butt cap with dog's head and lions; top of barrel at breech with ''(crown)/V'' proofmark, Liege proofmarks to left side barrel flat; halfstocked checkered walnut grip with flared butt. Condition is fine. Barrel retains approx. 85% brown coloring with light general thinning. Case hardened lock and hammer have toned a silvery gray. Stock has been shortened from full length, and rammer hole is plugged. Pistol shows beautiful detail at triggerguard finial and engraved panels. Condition is fine to near excellent. Barrel retains approx. 92% blue with small areas of very light pitting. Case colors are 70% vivid with only mild thinning. French Model 1777 Charleville Flintlock Cavalry Pistol (1780), by St. Etienne, .69 cal., 7-3/8'' bright barrel, brass frame, triggerguard and butt cap; European walnut stock, with belt clip. Barrel is dated 1779, with clear ''Avril A 1780'' cartouche to right side of stock. Frame with ''(crown)/L'' inspector's mark, as inspected by Lambert (1777-1784). Condition is excellent. Metal surfaces show very light cleaning. Stock with small dings and impressions. Good action and bore. This exact type pistol was often found in the hands of Napoleon I troops and in the hands of American officers in the American Revolution. Kuchenreuter Percussion Pistol

Johan Andreas Kuchenreuter Percussion Pistol, NSNV, approx. .50 cal., 8-1/2'' barrel, brown finish, walnut stock. The Kuchenreuter family of gunmakers has been in business in various locations in Bavaria, Germany, since the 1600s and is still in business in the town of Cham, Bavaria, today. Johan Andreas II appears to have been in business from 1758-1808. Condition is good with the barrel extensively inlaid with silver scroll decoration and the name ''Ioh. And. Kuchenreuter''. The Kuchenreuter logo of a horse-mounted knight in gold is inlaid over the breech. Stock is nicely carved in an oakleaf motif. Rear shield escutcheon and front sight are missing. Brass furniture shows minute traces of former gold plating, minor dents and patina remaining. Right side lockplate is unadorned but gracefully executed. Hammer is intact, nipple is collapsed. Left front screw on left side serpentine is broken. Front barrel fitting appears to be missing and the ramrod is a replacement. Trigger is screw adjustable. Stock is intact with one chip at butt cap. Lightly engraved lockplate, breech plug and tang, with unmarked silver shield-shaped escutcheon at wrist. German Wheellock Muzzleloading Rifle, approx. .60 cal., 26'' swamped barrel with 7-groove bore, bright finish, carved walnut stock, with two-leaf flip-up rear sight and brass front sight. Wheellock cock is engraved with what appears to be dragons; lockplate is unadorned. Stock is carved with floral and arabesque line carving, forearm is carved in a lengthwise fluted design. Bone inserts show floral motifs and one on the left side has the initials ''PK/DR'' incised. The initials ''FH'' are carved into the comb, the date 1661 is carved into bottom of stock. Buttplate and nose cap are made of horn. Walnut patch box cover is fluted. Probably made in Nuremburg and dated 1661, with ''W/n/R'' engraved laterally on barrel flats within the date. Condition is fine for its age with an even grey patina and age spotting to all metal parts. Stock is very good with one repair to lower half of cheekpiece. Bovy, both numbered #358, .45 cal., 9'' Fine Twist octagonal barrels with lightly decorated case colored breech plugs; lightly decorated lockplates and hammers with dolphin-style heads; pineapple finial decorations to upper tangs, with Continental style light engraving to case hardened triggerguard and pommel caps; small front and rear sight with adjustable triggers and finger-rest guards. Checkered select European walnut stocks with shell carved forend tips. In French fitted case containing hammer, ladle, bullet mold, oiler, nipple wrench, screwdriver, turned cap box and ramrod. Case is lined in a dusty rose cotton velveteen, the outside being brass-appointed oak. Condition is fine overall. Fine Twist barrels have toned lightly brown; case colors to lockplates and hammers show approx. 85% vivid hues, as does triggerguards and pommel caps. Stocks with light impressions near wedge area; both stocks with maker's initials in area beneath barrel. Accessories with signs of mild use and carbon spotting to both ladle and bullet mold. U.S. Model 1832 Foot Artillery Sword, by Ames (1839), 19'' double-edged blade, 25'' overall, with entire hilt is cast brass, grips are molded in a scalloped pattern to suggest eagle feathers; pommel is classic trilobite and decorate on both sides with Federal eagles. Crossguard marked ''MS'' (Massachusetts). Similar to a Roman Gladius but based upon a French pattern used in the Napoleonic Wars. Blade features elliptical cross section with two broad fullers. Leather-bodied scabbard with brass throat and chape. Condition is good. Blade with moderate even corrosion, with even patination to cast grip. Model 1836 Flintlock Pistol, by Asa Waters, .54 cal., 8-1/2'' round barrel, one-piece walnut stock nicely cartouched ''NB'' and ''WAT'', with brass blade front sight, and dished oval rear sight. Mfg'd 1836-1844. Sideplate marked ''A.H. Waters & Co., Milbury, Mass/1844''. This was the last U.S. martial pistol utilizing the flintlock system. Collectors regard these as the most attractive, best made and performing of all U.S. military flint variants. Standard issue during the Mexican War, and in its converted state through the Civil War. 1844 dated specimens are considered quite scarce with an estimated production of approx. 3000. Condition is fine with light overall carbon spotting to bright surfaces, and darkening and silver toning to case hardened lock. Two-Digit Sharps First Type Breechloading Single Shot Pistol, #58 marked on both lever and left side of grip frame, .34 cal., 5'' round tapered barrel, originally blue with case hardened finish, left side of frame marked inside of oval ''SHARPS PATENT / ARMS MFED. / FAIR MOUNT / PHILA. PA.''; brass front sight, with two-piece walnut grips. The number ''5'' is visible on the back of the left grip panel, with the back of both grips showing surface losses/possible alterations in line with the mainspring (not visible when grips are on gun.) Condition is very good. Metal surfaces with an overall medium to dark patina with some dark spotting and small amounts of fine pitting, some case coloring remains underneath both grips, maker's marks are clear and crisp with the exception of the ''ED'' on ''MFED''. Grips with moderate impressions and darkening around the edges; hammer and lever remain tight. Bore is good with scattered pitting and pronounced rifling.
