Stacked leather washer handle, pommel marked with ''SP'' and ''168''. U.S. M8 A1 fiberglass scabbard marked on the throat along with the manufacturer's name ''B.M. Co.'' Condition is excellent. PAL ''RH36'', 6-3/16'' parkerized blade is marked ''PAL RH-36/MADE IN U.S.A.,'' 11-1/8'' overall length, stacked leather washer handle with red spacers, and aluminum pommel. Nine-pin leather sheath is marked ''Property of U.S. Gov't.'' 2.) PAL ''RH36'', 6-3/16'' bright blade is marked ''PAL RH-36/MADE IN U.S.A.,'' 11-1/8'' overall length, stacked leather washer handle with black spacers, and aluminum pommel. Nine-rivet leather sheath is unmarked. Condition to both is excellent. Blades with original edges showing signs of very little use, with minor sheath wear to the high edges. Blade markings are clear and well-defined. Handles with light discoloration and signs of age. Leather sheaths with trace amounts of verdigris present around the snaps, mild oil staining and discoloration, crisp snaps, tight stitching and seams. Parkerized variation is not encountered as often as the bright blade RH-36. Est.: $175-$300/lot....more

Lot of 7 Vintage Sailor's Knives

Lot # 325 (Sale Order: 335 of 599)      

Lot of Seven (7) Vintage Sailor's Rigging and Rope Knives. Three (3) rigging knives by Camillus, Schrade Walden, and a KABAR ''Yacht Knife'' with yellow delrin handles. Four (4) rope knives two (2) by Camillus, one (1) unmarked, and one (1) KABAR WLR89 with white bone handles. Overall condition is good knives show signs of use and age. Blades have been sharpened and some have areas of light pitting and carbon spotting but remain tight with a good snap. The locking mechanism for the spike on the Schrade Walden rigging knife does not function properly and the spike on the Camillus is a little loose when closed. Previous owner's last name is also electro penciled into one of the blades. The exception is the WLR89 which is in very good condition, high polished blade with original factory edge, brass parts with light toning and one area of uneven toning due to an adhesive sticker, smooth bone handles with one white vein line but are otherwise free of any cracks or damage. Condition is about very good retaining approx. 15% blue to barrels in protected areas. Minor pitting to top of game rib. Very light dings to outer surface of barrel which does not show thru to the inside. Sidelocks have toned and silvered showing trace amounts of case colors in protected areas.
