Interesting old note found in butt trap states that this rifle was found packed in grease in Monte Cassino (Italy, late spring 1944). Condition is excellent retaining approx. 97%+ original blue with light thinning to barrel and minor wear to straw small parts, a little more prevalent to thumb safety.
