Revolver with serial number 10211 features walnut grips with star stamped on each side, nickel plated frame and 7.5" round barrel, matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, grip frame and cylinder, Native American peace symbol on bottom of barrel near frame and on grip frame. Bottom of grip butt stamped with stars, and "H" behind trigger guard. Revolver with serial number 6556 features walnut grips with star stamped on each side, nickel plated frame and 7.5" round barrel, matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, cylinder and grip frame, Native American peace symbol on bottom of barrel near frame and on grip frame. Bottom of grip butt stamped with stars. Left side of trigger guard reads: "36 CAL." Sword features brass handguard and pommel with US eagle and floral design, and wooden grip with wire wrap. 31.5" blade, and 37" overall length. Blade etched with floral design and "US." Makers mark is almost illegible, with outline of shield visible. Sword scabbard has brass fittings with floral design. 34" leather sword belt, with brass belt buckle with US eagle design, and "11" stamped on inside. Matching serial numbers, to include Barrel, frame, trigger guard, grip frame, cylinder. Address on barrel reads: "Address Col. Sam L Colt New - York US America." "BB" stamped above through pin on left side of barrel, and "P" on right side. Cylinder visibly reads: "Patent No. 9290," and "Pat. Sept 10th 1853." | Caliber / Gauge: .44 | Barrel Length: 8" | Serial Number: 59290 | Condition: Very good. Good bore, with good rifling and some oxidation marks. Some play in cylinder, but once locked does not move. Shows handling wear, small nicks and dents from use. Only top of scene on rear of cylinder is still visible. Most of original blued finish is replaced with brown patina, with some minor oxidation marks visible on percussion nipples, hammer, bottom of grip frame and barrel shank. USA Patented Aug. 5. 1884 Nov. 6. 88. Mar. 5. 95." "W" carved into top left grip panel, and three notches carved into bottom edge of left grip panel. No visible import markings. Less than 850 Colt model 1905s were produced for the United States Marine Corps between 1905-1909. Serial number range for the revolvers sent to the USMC is approximately 001-812.
