Triple acid etched "Col. P.O. Tricou Qr. Mr. Gen. LA Army", star, and foliate patterns. Maker mark has been scratched off. "1851" remains stamped on one side of the ricasso, US inspector "R.P.B." on the reverse. Tarnished, gilded brass hilt with foliate designs and "D" guard. Twisted wire wrapped fishskin grip. Leather scabbard with tarnished brass fittings. Included with the sword are letters from Civil War Relic Dealers Larry Hicklen of Middle Tennessee Civil War Relics and Norm Flayderman of N. Flayderman & Co. Also included are photocopies of Tricou's records and letters.

Serial number "13191" engraved on the suspension ring. Includes six rosette pins marked "US Patent 1888 France" on the reverse. Included is a letter from a relative of Kellogg on Collectors Firearms of Houston, Texas letterhead stating it has been in their possession since 1905.

Civil War Union Brevet Brigadier General Albert Ordway's Presentation M1860 Staff and Field Officer's Sword. Presented by the men of the 24th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Double edged, straight blade with central fuller. Double acid etched with foliate, patriotic patterns and distributor mark of Schuyer, Hartley & Graham New York. Hand engraved maker mark of Coulaux on one side of the ricasso, "Klingenthal" on the reverse. Decorated, gilded brass hilt with "D" guard and folding clamshell guard. Hand engraved "Presented to Brev. Brig. Gen. Albert Ordway from the men of his command in the 24th Regt. Mass. Vol. as a token of their respect and Esteem 1865" on the guard. Twisted wire wrapped, mother of pearl grips and bullion sword knot. Decorated, gilded brass scabbard with raised eagle and foliate designs.
