1948 Cadillac Series 61 Coupe

Lot # 101 (Sale Order: 1 of 115)

1948 Cadillac Series 61 There's really nothing like assuming the helm of a late 1940’......s Cadillac, a car from an era where General Motors was at the tip top of their game in terms of both design and performance. Unfortunately, top-notch vintage Cadillacs that are ready to drive are becoming increasingly hard to find. The factory perfect cars are locked in padded garages and only allowed to see daylight during concours level events, and the field dwelling project cars are aging almost as fast as the cost of restoring them is going up. But every once in a while a nice, a car that is not only eye catching in its design, but also represents the epitome of success, like this super cool 1948 Series 61 Cadillac that has pulled into our showroom and stopped everyone dead in their tracks. * Please Note: NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY* For consignment, the pinnacle of achievement trophy in the form of a 1948 Cadillac Series 61, albeit in barn find condition. She will need some work to bring her back to perfection, including rust remediation, interior repair and a thorough mechanical once over, but once completed you will have a car that not only draws eyes, but also draws memories of good times past. You HAVE arrived! Exterior A color change to black is draping the miles of steel panels on this big piece of Detroit iron. On the body work there are areas of some previous patching that have left the body metal bumpy as well as invasive rust peeking through in various areas that were once repaired. Chips and scratches are all over, as is surface rust in various areas and paint fading on the roof. Heavy use of chrome is everywhere on this body, and appears not to be missing any pieces, but rust has appeared on most surfaces marring the shiny finish. Window trimmings abound and there are some of these trimmings that show dings and dents and the mounted glass has become lightly de-laminated in a few areas. Extra-large bumpers with vertical protectors that have Dagmars mounted to their tips are seen on front, and the rear is sans Dagmars and just the vertical bars. Chrome mirrors on tall stalks have been added to both doors and chrome visors are on each side window. On the back is the beginnings of a bump up fin that protrudes from the rear quarter top, and a taillight occupies this space on the edge of the bump up. The star of the show is the torpedo style fastback roofline where the single curved trunkline meets the roofline and curves gracefully downward, housing a near horizontal curved glass rear window, and rounded trunk. A beautifully rounded rear fender with a skirt has chrome trimming on its leading edge and a large trim spear just above it that runs to the back of the car. Wide white wall tires are on all 4 corners and are dressed with standard Cadillac wheel covers. Interior A swing of the doors and we are greeted with a mix of taupe steel uppers and white vinyl lowers at least for the passenger's door, the driver's door has been stripped of its panel exposing the inner workings of the window mechanism. 2 long broadcloth benches, the front having a split back, with tan striped inserts and gray bolsters sit in brown broadcloth covered tubs. Extra wide gray piping is delineating the two patterns. The front bench is soiled, has material tearing, and has suffered from water damage. The rear bench has water damage on the cushions and tearing on the top of the upper cushion, however we have found the missing door panel. Soiled but intact black carpeting floods the floors and would benefit from a good scrubbing. Upfront the full metal jacket dash is finished in taupe and is showing some dulling and wear. A nicer arched speedometer has the steering column protruding from its bottom and a cracked and worn Bakelite wheel sits atop with a bullet styled center hub. A radio is in the center, and a clock in front of the passenger. The chrome on these appliances is fading and slightly pitted. The headliner is tan mohair and shows a little water damage but looks nice and tight. Drivetrain Heaving the hood which resembles a Trojan helmet we see the 346ci flathead V8. It is a numbers matching mill and has a single 2-barrel carburetor on top. On the back is a 4-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission. Way back is a 3.36 rear axle. All of this appears as original with patina, surface rust and corrosion, but appears visually complete. Undercarriage Up on the lift we see a solid frame covered in a heavy coating of surface rust. This surface rust has appeared on nearly every other component down below, and signs of invasive rust are apparent on the flooring in a few areas. While these areas have been repaired with panels from above, they could be done in a more professional manner. The rockers remain solid, but also show signs of repair. Front independent coil spring suspension along with rear leaf springs provide the ride for this cruiser while drum brakes on all 4 corner

1918 Buick E50 Series Sedan

Lot # 102 (Sale Order: 2 of 115)

1918 Buick E50 Series Sedan Other than the above, there is absolutely no reason this car, through any features, or configurations, was made for a doctor. ... As above, they were reliable. ... Then there is the Cadillac factor. ... Doctors were paid by patients and pulling up in a Cadillac may give them the impression that they have plenty of money, and because of this stigma, they may just not opt to pay. ... SO Doctors bought the Buick, as it was less ostentatious, still had plenty of luxury, and they were more apt to get paid! ... Offered for consignment is this Buick E50 Series sedan right out of 1918. ... Similar to the Cadillac of the era, but without all the ostentatious ...prestige that comes with Cadillac ownership, this car comes to us out of long term static display storage, but has been previously restored and is ready to have some new life breathed back into it. Exterior First and foremost, this tall and thin car is wearing an older ...restoration. ... It has aged well and appears to need just a simple buffing and waxing to bring it back up to snuff. ... Beautiful olive green dancing in between black above and below is giving a taller look to this already tall car.  ... Starting from the roof down, classy and classic black drenches the roof and all of its support pillars before coming to an abrupt halt at the upper body beltline embossment. ... From here the olive green takes over, encompassing the second body bump out and dripping downward to the lowers of the body. ... This ...green also graces the long contoured dual cowled hood that is complete with side cooling louvers before ending at the blacked out capless radiator surround. ... A Buick badge in blue leads the way on the surround and black trimmed headlights hang off the sides, connected by a black tiebar. ... No front bumper, just straw colored framing and suspension ...that are exposed for all the world to see. ... Black fenders are connected by a running boards that run along each side of the car and sandwich the green nicely.  ...4 doors with tarnished ring style handles and a wrap-around rear tub along make up the body of this 7-window car. ... Four 34-inch wooden spoked wheels along with a single spare mounted to the back are seen on this car. with all wrapped in 34x4.5 wide whites. ... Interior Yards of textured check pattern broadcloth in a tan color way cover the front bucket seats, as well as the rear bench seat. ... The buckets sit within tan tubs and show with various tears of the upholstery, exposing what may be the original material and padding underneath. ... A sprawling rear bench, in the same material and color races between the mohair clad sides and while this seat has no tearing but there is substantial staining. ... Small folding "jump seats" appear from the back of the buckets and could ...double as a footrest if one chooses not to use the floor mounted board rest. ... Faded, tattered and soiled tan textured carpet floats this interior and the long armed shifter and parking brake handle rise from the center, just in front of the dash. ... More tan ...textured cloth adorns the door panels as well and the headliner to boot with all presenting varying degree of soiling and water stains. ... A wood rimmed ...4 spoke steering wheel with spark advance and throttle controls rests atop the long black column and a tilt out windshield ...is noted above the black steel dash. ... Speaking of the dash, it is bedecked with a smattering of factory gauges and push-buttons for the lighting, all showing a properly aged patina. Drivetrain A massive inline 241.6 inline 6-cylinder Buick power plant sits under the folding hood. ... This mill is dressed in slightly ...greasy and worn straw yellow paint and is a mechanical ...marvel with exposed pushrods, rockers and valve springs. ... The engine does turn over by hand but we made ...no attempt to start the car or drive it. ... A 1-barrel updraft fuel system is seen, and this engine is overhead valve. The transmission is a 3-speed which needs to be double clutched, as most cars of this size were for the time and a 4.61 geared axle turns the back tires. Undercarriage A light coating of surface rust is seen underneath on the untreated components and the wooden floorboards and running boards remain solid though. ... The framing has a nice coating of straw yellow paint and the rest of the undercarriage follows suit with a slight ...but appreciable patina to it. ... Leaf springs give the ride for the front and back and ...mechanical drum brakes are on the rear, which was the standard of the industry in 1918. A massive car when sitting next to a typical Model T. ... Plenty of interior space and has the potential to be a nice car with some work. ... The Buick sedan for the wealthy who wanted to remain fairly anonymous but enjoyed the finer things in life, now it's your turn....doctor. 1918 Cadillac 57 Series Touring

Lot # 103 (Sale Order: 3 of 115)

1918 Cadillac 57 Series Touring While not proven to be only one of a few military brass owned Cadillacs, this 1918 Cadillac 57 Series Touring car for consignment is decked out in the correct military royal blue and black color.  ...It is fully restored and shows very well in our Hallowed Halls. ... Seating for 7, a V8, leather interior, and a useable convertible top, all from over 105 years ago and looking the part. ... Who knows the wonderful “......rich" history of those 105 years, but it's here for the taking. Exterior From the side, this is a very large automobile, we see 125-inches of wheelbase which is rolling on 35-inch wood spoked wheels and 35x5" rubber. ... Royal blue steel is fashioned into 4 doors, a long cowled hood, and a high curved back tub. ... This is framed on either side with curved front and rear fenders which are painted black. ... To add more contrast, a black appointed radiator surround with the gold crest and shield emblem, and black headlight casings house the electrics for the round chrome bezel headlights on either side. ... A large round searchlight hangs off of the driver's side, and has a black rear view mirror on top. ... The front of the car is protected by a round black steel bar with fire extinguisher styled vertical adornments which are actually part of the suspension and leads the way for this car. ... The similar setup is on the back, however this also has dual spare tires attached as roads of the day could be a challenge, and a spare tire change would be nothing unheard of on a short trip. ... All steel is rust free, has some patina, crazing and a few chip offs with minor dents and dings, but considering it is over 105 years old, it's in amazing condition. ... A long black canvas top is stretching from the black framed front windshield to the rear curved tub and presents in excellent condition with easy movements if you want to go topless. ... Solid running boards stretch from fender to fender and allow easy access to the inside seating for 7. ... Small wing glass windows are on either side of the front glass and small driving lights are mounted in the firewall. Interior Let’......s climb inside this piece of history, and swinging the doors reveals a padded black leather covered paneled door liner. ... Sitting on wood floors which are solid, we have 2 long overstuffed “......couches”...... if you will in black leather. ... These are padded wide rounded tuck and roll tops and bottoms and show some wear, but it's slight and in the corners of the benches. ... A big wood steering wheel is situated atop a shiny adjustable steel column and is mounted to a black dash which is peppered with various round gauges, levers, and a few large pulls. ... The steering wheel has a large throttle lever in its center and there is a floor shifter and handbrake.  ...In back of the front bench are also dual briefcase like boxes which transform into 2 additional jump style seats for the seating for 7.  ...The floors for the back passengers offer up carpeting and plenty of space for those jump seat passengers. ... It's nice to see that over 100 years ago government officials were able to live high off the hog and they were doing so at the taxpayer's expense and sparing none of it. ... So nothing has changed in over 105 years! Drivetrain Under the cowled hood is also no expense spared with a large 314.5 l-head V8. ... It has a 1-barrel carburetor and a 3-speed manual transmission on the back. The rear axle weighs in at a 4.43 ratio. ... Stock exhaust and plenty of cast pieces and add on for this mechanical wonder. Undercarriage The restoration of this car also included the undercarriage which presents with no rust or even road dirt. ... It’......s all black painted stamped and cast steel and is solid as a rock. ... Leaf springs provide the ride, and mechanical drum brakes are on the rear axle only. ... ... Drive-Ability Since emerging from long term storage we did verify ...that the engine turns by hand, but no attempt was made to start it. Plenty of preservation going on here and maybe even a bit of history, but it definitely involved some one of affluence and social status or they worked for the government. ... A piece for the collection, with plenty of historical steel to go with it. ... All in very good condition. Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile showroom, featuring over 850 vehicles for sale with showroom space for up to 1,000 vehicles. 1925 Cadillac V-63 Sedan

Lot # 104 (Sale Order: 4 of 115)

1925 Cadillac V-63 Sedan The Cadillac V-63 is a large luxury automobile that was introduced in September 1923 by Cadillac as a 1924 model replacing the previous Type 61. It used the GM C platform and was replaced by the Cadillac Series 355 in 1931. The most noticeable update for 1925 was the introduction of two classifications of body style choices. The "Standard" bodies were added for 1925 that offered a five passenger Brougham, two passenger Coupe, four passenger Victoria, a five- and seven passenger Sedan and a seven passenger Imperial limousine. A higher content "Custom" body styles offered a Roadster, Touring Car, Phaeton, five passenger Coupe and Sedan, seven passenger Suburban with the top level seven passenger Imperial limousine, while the mechanicals and chassis were otherwise largely unchanged. Coachwork continued to be offered by Fisher Body who was the primary supplier of all GM products at this time, and Duco automotive lacquer paint, introduced by DuPont was the first quick drying multi-color line of nitrocellulose lacquers made especially for the automotive industry. The introduction of lacquer paint afforded the clients with a choice of 24 matched color choices along with 10 different upholstery patterns. For consignment, a barn find version of the 1925 V63 Sedan. With its innovative and smooth 8 cylinder engine, mechanical drum brakes, and 21-inch wood spoked wheels, the performance race, although in its infancy, was on between manufacturers. Sporting a very simple but comfortable interior and still showing the luxury that this car came equipped with when new. This definitely will be a project for its new owner, but one that in the end may prove profitable as this example is not an oft seen automobile. * Please Note: NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY* Exterior With its totally square design passenger compartment, this all steel car maintains its exterior integrity with very faded black paint and primer, patina riddled panels and glass. There is evidence of prior repairs and some rust particularly on the lower cabin structure. The boxy design continues through the back of the car with a rear mounted spare tire and platform for a trunk. Dual twin bar simple bumpers frame the spare tire nicely and add a flair along with the triple taillight on the driver's rear fender. Moving to the long dual cowled hood front end, this shows no rust, and has a radiator surround in black topped with a Boyce MotoMeter, and Cadillac crest. Shiny trim is at a minimum, only showing on the round headlight bezels and on the headlight tie bar is a MotoVox horn assembly, otherwise all else is encased in black steel. A 3 bar front bumper caps off the front end and wraps around to undulating fenders with wooden running boards to differentiate the front from the rear. Up top, black vinyl covers the roof and shows cracks, tears and tape cover ups. Black painted Landau bars frame the oval opera windows at the rear of the cabin and add an extra touch of class. Big 21-inch wood spoked wheels are on all 4 corners of this car and will need restored. Interior Taking a look at the twin bench seats will give you an idea of the original interior design and use of fabric. Here we see a large panel tuck and roll pattern mohair in a coffee brown looking much like comfortable couches. These stretches from side panel to side panel. These present with some tearing, dirt and moth damage but are usable as is. A very simple curved metal dash has a cluster of gauges in its very center, which have gold bezels, and also contain a few knobs and pulls. A restored wooden steering wheel is fronting the dash and appears to be held together with black tape of sorts. Solid wood makes up the flooring as the carpet has long since been absent from this car. The mohair felt headliner presents in coffee, and in surprisingly good tight shape, and has an interior light mounted in the center. Drivetrain Assumed to be original, the Flathead V8 engine with some surface rust is seen under the cowled hood. This specs out as a 314.5ci L-headed V8 with a 1-barrel carburetor to feed it. A 3-speed manual transmission is on back, and the rear axle setup consists of 4.50 gears. Undercarriage Looking underneath we note some surface rust on the usual suspects, like suspension and some mechanical steel parts. However, there appear to be no structural problems as seen, rockers and body hangers are solid, as is the frame. Leaf spring suspension is on all 4’......s as are mechanical drum brakes. Drive-Ability While the engine does turn over by hand, we did not attempt to start it due to many unknowns. Let's assume a rebuild is in order, sadly, no test drive was completed. A buttoned-up barn find if you will, no major rust, mostly original steel panel car, with an original interior to go by when you undertake the restoration. This is a blank palette for the potential restorer, as these cars were really colorfu
1925 Cadillac V-63 Sedan The Cadillac V-63 is a large luxury automobile that was introduced in September 1923 by Cadillac as a 1924 model replacing the previous Type 6...more1. 1940 LaSalle Series 50 Convertible Coupe

Lot # 105 (Sale Order: 5 of 115)

1940 LaSalle Series 50 Convertible Coupe From a time when the world was different and maybe even better, we give you a 1940 LaSalle Series 50 Convertible Coupe. ... Wearing an older restoration of the engine, drive train, brakes, body and paint, and other extras, our current consignor, although reluctant to see his baby go away, has decided it's ...time for you to snap up the opportunity. ... A good driver that is in need of a little mechanical TLC before being put back into show and tour duties, but otherwise she’......s very nicely done and preserved making this rarely seen model special as well. Exterior This design leader in the form of a Series 50 bears Harley Earl's latest "torpedo" look. ... Sealed beams are now melting into the fender the fenders and the body lines are gently rounded and clean.  ...The trademark LaSalle grille arguably reached its pinnacle this year: still slimmer than Cadillac's but artfully shaped. ... Like the '39s, this 1940 model wears vertical brightwork in the "catwalk" areas between grille and headlamps, (another Earl idea), but the catwalks are now wider and fully integrated with the fenders. This two door convertible coupe is bathed in what the Lasalle called Corlear Blue Iridescent, which exudes a calming quality, nice and shiny and very nicely preserved.  ...An extra accessory bedrail style bumper is now on in addition to the standard fare, and it is all nice but not without tarnish and some rusting. ... From its nearly new white canvas convertible top, to the trunk lid and rear quarters that look like they are going 100mph while standing still…......the lines of this car are just magnificent. ... Red steel wheels with some dish trimmings and moon caps in chrome with red centered badges, I’......m the boogie woogie bugle boy of company B! Interior A swing the door and textured vinyl in marbled blue makes up the panels and greets one with a smile. ... Some embossing splits the panels, and nicely polished knobs and handles are on. ... Slipping inside I can place my torso on to the wide split bench in lightly soiled marble blue vinyl coverings for the front and rear seats, and blue bolsters that match the door panels are carrying on throughout. ... A simple but effective dash in contrasting gray houses Art Deco styled instruments, and plenty of vertical chromed ribs for the center. ... A nice banjo style steering wheel in good condition with a bakelite surround in light cream has a badged center, and a horn ring rounding it 3/4 of the way around. ... A heater box and the glovebox hang above a mix of soiled gold carpeting and black rubber matting that floods the floors. ... Drivetrain Under the hood is a very clean and rust-free engine showing in 322ci and V8 setup. ... There is a single 2-barrel carburetor by Carter now on top underneath the oil bath air cleaning system. ... On back is the original 3-speed manual transmission, and this pushes power back to a 3.92 rear axle. ... We note the engine has a fresh coating of green paint and appears to be drip and leak free. Undercarriage Under this car is a structurally sound X frame with clean floor pans and rockers. ... Some surface rust is showing on the usual suspects, but all appears to be good underneath. ... We see a newer fuel tank, newer brake hoses and a new single exhaust from the muffler back. ... Independent coil springs for the front suspension, and leaf springs for the rear, and drum brakes all around are noted on this structurally sound frame and undercarriage. Drive-Ability Not knowing the condition of the fuel in the tank kept us from driving this rolling piece of art. ... However, we can say that with a fresh battery and some starting fluid the engine did come to life and idled nicely. Wonderful would describe this 1940 example, where Harley Earl was at his finest. ... Great flowing lines, giving this car a moving while standing still pontoon styled look. ... The interior is very nice, and looking original but all buttoned up, and the wide whites with that sexy grille is worth the price of admission. Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile showroom, featuring over 850 vehicles for sale with showroom space for up to 1,000 vehicles. Also, a 400 vehicle barn find collection is on display.  ...This vehicle is located in our showroom in Morgantown, Pennsylvania, conveniently located just 1-hour west of Philadelphia on the I-76 Pennsylvania Turnpike. The website is www.classicautomall.com and our phone number is (888) 227-0914. Please contact us anytime for more information or to come see the vehicle in person. ...

1908 Oldsmobile Series 20 4 Passenger Touring Sedan

Lot # 106 (Sale Order: 6 of 115)

1908 Oldsmobile Series 20 4 Passenger Touring Sedan In 1908 Oldmobile joined the newly organized General Motors Company and assumed operations from Ransom E. Olds on Nov 12th 1908. ... At that time GM introduced the Series 20 model, which was essentially a 1908 Buick Model 10 that incorporated a stretched wheelbase and minor interior changes.  ...For consignment, quality restoration for this 1909 Oldsmobile Series 20 tourer and this car presents well in maroon red with a black canvas top for accenting. ... In an era when cars were still more like carriages, this car shows as such and is in excellent condition. ... A convertible top gives you the option to drive in bad weather albeit without front doors or side coverings, and acetylene lamps give you light to travel at night, not often done in 1909. ... Our consignment is a real fully restored piece of early motoring history. Note: While we believe this to be a Series 20 from 1909, the vehicle is titled as a 1908. ... Please research proper titling procedures for your country, state, province, county or local municipality. Exterior Beautifully preserved steel painted in snappy maroon red makes up the undulating bodywork of this early automobile. ... An abundance of brass is on from the radiator surround to the lighting, horn, and on back for a tail light. ... The lighting comprises a pair of acetylene brass headlamps, cowl mounted brass oil lamps and a single brass oil fired tail lamp. ... The headlamps are fueled by a carbide generator on the left running board. ... Maroon painted undulating fenders hang off of either side and have a black rubber covered running board to connect them.  ...With a cowled hood, walnut firewall and no front door design, the exterior shows nicely curved metal seat surrounds on top of a styled box if you will, ...much like a sleigh or buggy of the day. ... On top is a nice black canvas convertible top which moves up and down with ease. ... On the driver’......s running board is a tank for the acetylene gas to power the lighting on the exterior and a small tool box is on the passenger's running board.  ...Beautiful 34-inch wood spoked wheels are painted maroon with some brass hubs and are wrapped in like lightly dry rotted ...34x3 1/2 rubber. ... ... Interior Simple but beautiful harkening back to the carriage days, the seats are upholstered in diamond-pattern black buttoned leather. ... They have dual curves for the back supports and padded rounded over seats. ... A large wood rimmed steering wheel with brass spokes reaches for the driver via a polished brass column. ... It fronts a brass trimmed walnut stained wooden dashboard which houses what looks like the control panel for a furnace rather than a car. ... It has brass gauges with white face dials, one of which is an eight-day clock and the other the speedometer.  ...A square varnished wood box resides here as well and covers the mechanicals for the brass Remy switch controller.  ...In the back, doors swing open for the rear seat passengers who are greeted with smooth black leather door paneling and a brass and wood grab bar attached to the rear of the front seat tub helps with the entrance.  ... Industrial square pattern metal flooring is on the front floors and remains very clean with a few pedals to drive this complex machine. ... For the rear seat riders we see lightly faded black carpeting. Drivetrain Lifting the cowled hood and we see a cast iron 165ci ...4 cylinder engine capable of 22hp powering this car. ... It shows open valve springs and more brass for the piping. ... A 1-barrel carburetor feeds it fuel and a 3-speed Selective Sliding gear transmission is also on, albeit shifted from nearly outside the driver's seat tub.  ... All very nicely restored and looking good. Undercarriage Also wonderfully restored presenting in all maroon steel supporting black painted oak wood floor boards. ... Buggy spring suspension are in the rear and up front we see a traditional leaf spring. ... Mechanical drum brakes are noted on the back, but these are for the parking brake only as the foot brake is actually connected to the crankshaft.  ... ... Drive-Ability While no attempt to start the car was made, we can confirm the engine does turn over by hand and makes compression. ... As with any car out of long term storage, some TLC will be in order. A natural for Brass Era tours, this is an archetypal Oldsmobile from the company’......s first year after joining GM. ... Compared to the Model T this Olds makes the Lizzy look like a Yugo! ... A nicely restored example, in need of a little TLC, but then is ready to go and show. Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile showroom, featuring over 850 vehicles for sale with showroom space for up to 1,000 vehicles. 1946 Ford Wrecker

Lot # 107 (Sale Order: 7 of 115)

1946 Ford Wrecker As the saying goes “......accidents will happen”...... and true to this the 1940's were no different than today. The problem was a device was needed to clean these accidents up. Thanks to companies like Manley and Holmes, accident clean up was much safer and much easier than in the past. These booms were outfitted on cars and trucks from nearly every manufacturer including the luxury brands like Cadillac and Packard. Today, those trucks are indispensable emergency vehicles throughout the world. NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY An unrestored rare example of a 1946 tow truck from Ford, a barn find if you will. Purchased by our consignor in 2015 with the plans of a full restoration and painting it to match his Shell fuel pumps, oil dispensers, and island lights, however life got in the way and the time just isn't available to bring this truck back to its former glory. Exterior Fire up the Wayback Machine Sherman, let's take a trip to the post war worker bee side of automobilia. Sherman, did you fill the tank with fuel, were still in 2022 with the needle on E....you just can’......t find good help these days, but I digress. Welcome to the present with this barn find condition 1946 Ford 1.5 ton wrecker. The 1946 Ford truck line-up was still part of the prewar design but with some cosmetic upgrades to make it more flashy for the returning GI's. A flat faced front end with bulbous fenders house headlights on either side of the white waterfall grille. Surface rust has invaded this grille and its surrounding headlight trim rings and black steel bumper below. A custom push bar has been added to move those wrecks off to the side of the road. Patina has formed in the form of dents, surface rust, fading, some invasive cancer and a healthy growth of moss covering the faded red body and black front fenders. The passenger cab floats atop black steel running boards which have both surface and invasive rust but still remain structurally sound. A boom, believed to be a Manley unit, is on the back where the factory bed would have been installed. This is a heavy-duty unit, has many cables, and contains a winch tower next to the cab, a hand crank, and tow clamps. Also stabilizing jacks (distance bars) to steady the truck if a pull has to take place on an uneven surface, or a side pull for extra blocking. Custom fabricated fenders on the rear cover dual wheels attached underneath and in between is a small storage area with a toolbox mounted to the left side. All associated parts are in rusted but usable condition. Interior The interior shows with exterior matching patina in the form of fading and surface rust on the steel door panels and dash. A green/blue vinyl bench seat presents with some rips, and a healthy coating of grease and mold. The original steering wheel in black 4 spoke bakelite form fronts the original dash with the rectangle gauge cluster. Surface rust and fading has taken over the cluster, but the original black background and white numbers are still legible. A floor shifter and handbrake are within the field of black rubber weatherproof flooring which shows with soiling, tears and mold. Drivetrain Lifting open the rear hinged hood reveals more patina and surface rust covering the original 239ci V8. This once mighty mill is topped with a 2bbl carburetor and an oil bath style air cleaner assembly. Backing up the mill is a 4-speed manual transmission. A 4.86 geared rear axle finishes out the heavy-duty drivetrain. Undercarriage Normal wear and surface rust covers the entire undercarriage. We note invasive rust in the flooring of the cab and rocker panels, but the frame remains solid. Drum brakes are all around and the ride is provided by leaf springs both front and rear. Drive-Ability This truck is a non-runner and has been off the road since 1973. Assume a full rebuild will be needed on every system during the restoration. We did note that many of the boom functions are still operational and move freely. This is definitely a piece of automotive history, and something not seen every day. In barn find condition but all the parts are available, as well as write-ups and videos to guide you through most of the repairs. When finished I guarantee you’......ll be the only one on the block with one like this, and if something happens and a tow is needed, press it into service and charge an arm and a leg because who gets a VINTAGE TOW??!

1989 Jaguar XJS V12

Lot # 109 (Sale Order: 9 of 115)

1989 Jaguar XJS V12 Originally developed using the platform of the then current William Heynes designed XJ saloon, the XJS was noted for its prominent rear flying buttresses. The early styling was partially by Jaguar's aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer —...... one of the first designers to apply advanced aero principles to cars. Sayer died just before the XJS body styling was frozen for production. For consignment, a V12 luxury sports coupe which will get you down the road quickly, and growl at you all at the same time. This cool cat is highly optioned, runs quietly, and presents beautifully. If you like leather, burl veneer, and the sound and smoothness of a V12 engine, then you should look into this Jag well into the now affordable range. Exterior The flying buttress B pillars are key to this car’......s design as is a sleek body style with thin looks, yet a muscular stance which is often seen on expensive European cars that are capable of high speeds. Within this thin body style are dark blue straight panels and good gaps as well as a set of dual headlamps upfront, bordered on the bottom by an integrated chrome bumper with a black 5 MPH crash bumper inserted and fog lights below. This holds true on the rear of the car too, and the chrome is excellently preserved. Around the corner designed tail/turn signal rear lights frame the rear panel, and trunk rear deck. Chrome faux knock off wire wheels are all around and are wrapped in like new all-season rubber. A few faults are found in the paint, those being some dings, an inconsistent paint application on the driver's lower rear quarter panel and a small spot of chip off that has turned into rust bubbling just above the rocker. Interior Bathed in gray leather door panels and front buckets and rear 2 plus 2 seat all present with no tears or major faults, just the fine cracking that comes with age and some wear off of the driver's upper bolster piping. A mixture of burl veneer adds highlight to the door panels, accenting to the mid console, and personality to the original dash where it is very prevalent. The burl on the center console and the shift lever remains nearly showroom new. We also see cruise control, power windows, seat heater controls, and climate controls. Gray carpet floods the floors, and a headliner which shows clean and tight is being held up by the factory wood staves which run from door to door and curve upward with the contour of the roof. Drivetrain The original 5.4-liter V12 engine showing slight patina and some corrosion, sits tightly and snugly under the hood. Lucas/Bosch fuel injection feeds the 12 cylinders, and a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission is on back. Handling the horses from under the bonnet is a rear axle weighing in with a 2.88 ratio. Undercarriage Underneath we can note some surface rust, but mostly structurally sound metal on the unibody, and floor pans as well as the rockers. Independent suspension is on all 4 corners, and power disc brakes are also all around. We note a new ABS unit as well as a new right front caliper. Drive-Ability This car started right up, and we were off to the test track. On our way we made note of the power mirrors not working, the passenger's window being off track, and the radio turned on but read CODE, which our consignor let us know about and that he didn't have the radio code. Overall though it was an impressive car, with rail like handling, great performance on the acceleration and handling front, and all in all very comfortable and a responsive car to drive. Those V12 engines just run soooo smoooothly I am always impressed with them. Especially when they are totally in tune. A great powerful cat with this V12 XJS, plenty of conveniences and leather and burl. Flying buttress B pillars and thin body design are sure hooks for the Jag aficionados, and this one in good condition still has lots of life left to go outside, find the nearest country road, and play! 1948 Diamond T 306 Tanker

Lot # 113 (Sale Order: 11 of 115)

1948 Diamond T 306 Tanker The Diamond T Motor Car Company was founded in Chicago in 1905 by C. A. Tilt. Reportedly, the company name was created when Tilt’......s shoe-making father fashioned a logo featuring a big “......T”...... (for Tilt) framed by a diamond, which signified high quality. The company's hood emblem on trucks was a sled dog in harness. From its beginnings manufacturing touring cars, the company later became known for its trucks. By 1967, as a subsidiary of White Motor Company, it was merged with Reo Motor Company to become Diamond Reo Trucks, Inc. For consignment, a restored and mechanically sound 1948 Diamond T 306 truck in tanker format. Once referred to as the "Cadillac of the truck world", this Art Deco inspired hauler is ready, willing and able to haul whatever liquid goods that need to be delivered. * Please Note: NO TITLE-SOLD ON A BILL OF SALE ONLY* Exterior Drenched in a coating of Shell red, the body with its well minded gaps and straight panels retain all of the original Art Deco charm that Diamond T incorporated into their trucks. Bullet style headlights flank a divided horizontally barred chrome grille with a shiny red bumper below. The big "T" logo sits proudly in its flowing chrome spear leading back to the twin cowled center hinged hood with each side decorated with chrome venting and brass Diamond T plates. Framing the hood are rounded front fenders which flow back into short running boards with ribbed grip lines. A raked back windshield forms the front of the cab giving an almost custom look, but it's exactly the way it left the factory in 1948. On the back we see a fluid tank dressed in full Shell livery. This unit has 3 separate compartments with separate dispensers for different fuels or possibly to haul your homemade Merlot, Sauvignon, Pinot Noir to the local wine tasting. Long yellow wooden tool/storage boxes are running the length of the bed and provide ample room for any necessary hoses and tools. Bringing up the rear is a black steel bumper frame and industrial style round taillights. Red steel 17" wheels with chrome T logo dog dish caps are on the corners with dual tires being on the rear. Breaker Breaker, any smokies ahead? I'm hammer down with a load of high test. Interior Extreme utilitarian would best describe the door panels which are gray painted stamped steel with chrome cranks and levers. Moving inside we see a sprawling gray vinyl covered bench seat with a wide tuck and roll pattern stretches from door to door. A slightly cracked 3 spoke black plastic steering wheel sits atop the factory installed gray painted column and fronts the full metal jacket gray painted dash with a central Diamond T logo speedometer being flanked by supporting gauges. Chrome knobs and pulls are throughout the rest of the dash and a heater unit is mounted on the passenger’......s side down low. Of particular note is the flooring, which is covered with bevel cut oak up to the upward skew of the firewall, all buttoned up and easy to use. Drivetrain Lifting either side of the narrowing cowled hood reveals a 236ci flathead inline 6 cylinder. Fuel and air is delivered via a 1bbl carburetor positioned underneath the oil bath air cleaner. Attached to the back is a 4-speed manual transmission which sends power back to a 4.62 geared heavy duty rear axle. Undercarriage While too big to traverse our lift we did our best belly crawl and worked our way under this hauler. The flooring, rockers, frame and body hangers are all structurally solid. Drum brakes are seen on both ends as are leaf springs for the suspension. A single exhaust system is in charge of removing spent fossils and all is looking ready to haul. Drive-Ability With a twist of the key this big truck fell into a smooth idle and off to the test track I went. I really enjoy driving these old trucks and with my partner in crime crack decoder and all-around good guy in tow I wasn't able to make deliveries to my favorite ladies of Morgantown, PA... but I digress... On the patented and well-hidden Classic Auto Mall test track this drove like, well a truck. Acceleration was very good for a truck of this size, the ride was acceptable, and braking was adequate. All told, it handles like a 1948 Diamond T and all functions were operational at the time of my drive. Eastbound and down! A well-built truck, worthy of the restoration that has befell it. Retaining almost all of its high-class hauler charm from the skilled pens of the Diamond T engineers and the vision of our talented consignor has crafted this into the head turning hauler seen before you. Guaranteed, you'll be the only one in your neighborhood with one and dare to dream, while hauling fuel may require permits, does a mobile wine truck require the same??? Y'all got your ears on good buddy, come back.
1948 Diamond T 306 Tanker The Diamond T Motor Car Company was founded in Chicago in 1905 by C. A. Tilt. Reportedly, the company name was created when Tilt’......s sho...moree-making father fashioned a logo featuring a big “......T”...... 1987 Lincoln Town Car If you’......ve been in a large American city like New York or Chicago you may have noticed that the streetscape seems dominated by two types of cars: taxis and big black sedans. Although taxis can be any number of colors, limo service cars seem to be black. Those black sedans are likely to be Lincoln Town Cars. They have become such a fixture for livery and limo services that no one even bothers to call them by their full names anymore. They just say “......I’......ll have a Town Car”....... (Thx to Autopolis) For consignment, a professionally executed well maintained Town Car from 1987. Square and rectangle design right out of the mod 1980’......s and all straight and true car. She a long luxury car with plenty of amenities, and definitely”...... what a luxury car should be”...... Exterior Traditional meant that the Town Car would be large and comfortable. Baroque styling at its best, (or worst), the Town Car’......s sharp creased fenders gives way to a boxy Rolls Royce-like grille. This is flanked by rectangular headlights on either side, and a corner turn signal light on the quarters in front. Trimmings are several and run the length of the car at the hood/body seam, on the belt line just below the belt line, and on the rockers. Also, the wheel wells are trimmed as are the windows. A blue canvas top covers the passenger compartment and is slightly faded, but still looks great with the Glacier Blue exterior paint. Speaking of which it shows some scratches, chips and small dents and dings but retains its shine. Finishing off the large trunk deck are vertically oriented taillights on each corner, with a large red strip of lighting running across the back just above a shiny big rear bumper. Spoked wheel covers with a large octagonal nut hub are wrapped by like new thin white side wall radials all around. Interior Excessive use of many surfaces abounds on the door panels with molded plastic, fuzzy padded broadcloth, burl wood appliqué... and of course shiny handles and toggles. Even throw in a strip of blue carpeting at the bottom and this is just the doors! Power seats, power windows, power mirrors, and full-on climate controls are just the beginnings of the lap of luxury this car has to offer. A full burl wood dash front houses square gauges and readouts, and square and rectangular panels make up the rest of the controls. Padded blue velour is covering the wide front split bench seats and in back a large plenty of legroom rear bench stretches from side to side. All seats are slightly faded and show some light to medium wear. Blue floor carpeting is good and the headliner also in fuzzy blue broadcloth is tightly adhered to a molded headliner panel. Drivetrain Under the unrestored but well-maintained engine bay is a mechanically maintained 302ci V8 with EFI. On the back is an AOD 4-speed automatic and way back is a Ford 8.8-inch 3.27 conventional rear axle. The overall appearance under the hood is clean and corrosion free. Undercarriage Some patina even less spotty surface rust on the usual suspects, but overall strong rust free structure. Power disc brakes for the front, and power drums for the rear, and the suspension is independent with coil springs in the front and a 4 link system with coil springs in the rear. Drive-Ability A quick starter all did very nicely on our test drive, (one of the benefits of working at Classic Auto Mall). All smooth ride, shifting, and acceleration. Ease of operation is a definite plus for this big skate. New window motors, a new A/C system, A fresh oil change with new valve cover gaskets and intake gaskets, and the transmission serviced, it’......s all good on the Town Car front, so come in make an offer and turn the key. 1940 Chevrolet Special

Lot # 117 (Sale Order: 15 of 115)

1940 Chevrolet Special True art comes in many forms, whether it be brush to palette then canvas, or sculpting a form from a lump of clay, or starting with a raw log and putting it on the lathe to create a bowl. Art always comes through the doors of Classic Auto Mall in the form of a custom car creation. Not unlike looking at the paintings on the wall at MOMA, the halls here at CAM are draped with years of sculpted metal to gaze upon and see the history of design unfold right before our very eyes. Using the tools of a chop saw, a grinder, sandpaper and a builder’......s concept, we now have a work of art in the form of a 1940 Chevrolet Special. Looking something like the original, but made better now better, shaved, chopped, and a large blower motor, and some custom add ones from other cars I give you this Orange masterpiece. Exterior So, starting upfront we will keep the “......Groucho Marx”...... style mustache grille, shave the bumper, and add some Porsche 911 headlights melted into the rounded fenders, and so begins the look. All steel for this “......juiced”...... looker which minds its gaps well and is all draped in PPG Orange with a hint of gold pearl just to add some depth. A nifty little sidebar is a hardtop which comes off to have some open-air motoring. The rear retains its original shape but utilizes ‘......37 Ford taillights that are masterfully sculpted into the bulbous rear fender and complete the curvaceous line of the car on the back. 16 inch in front and 17 inch on the rear Boyds polished wheels wrapped in low profile radials hide neatly under the fenders courtesy the bagged suspension…......Low rider! Interior Swinging the suicides, we see custom molded door panels with tight square stitched broadcloth coverings, neat cranks and handles and some leather accent panels. Slipping inside, our bottoms are glad handed by custom leather two tone seats with light inserts and tan bolsters. The rear bench stays in tune with the buckets and starts a custom orange center console which races forward to the dash. In the center a B&M shifter with a flamed orange ball topper protrudes from the console. Up front is a custom molded dash with white faced AutoMeter gauges and black bezels which have been carefully molded into the metal body matching orange dash. A leather wrapped custom billet style steering wheel with a large chromed column that is adjustable grows from the dash and can be adjusted for any size driver. Broadcloth for the headliner which matches the door panels, and pristine tan carpet floods the floors. Drivetrain A consigner stated 355ci V8 with dual 4-barrel Edelbrock carbs, and aftermarket aluminum heads sits within an amazing simple engine bay that shows no hoses! This engine is sporting a blower, and all is gleaming and bright within the orange engine bay. On back is a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission, and at the rear is a Ford 9-inch 3.73 positraction axle. Undercarriage Plenty of customization under here, with super strong frame, body hangers, floor pans and a fabricated fuel cell. This is all painted orange and has shiny metal accenting. Heidts Mustang II front suspension and rear 4 link with airbags on the rear are seen, as well as headers snaking from the sides of the engine which melt into stainless steel exhaust and chambered mufflers. Power disc brakes for all 4 corners, and the underneath we can just say orange ya glad you looked??! Drive-Ability With the 355 cubes and the blower it cranks a bit but once it fires it is music to a motorhead's ears. Throw that B&M into gear and the test track begs me and my faithful sidekick to come and wear off some rubber. This car handles great, rides beautifully, and has neck snapping acceleration. Awesome stopping power and is comfortable. The A/C is installed but is non operable due to a lack of an installed compressor. There was also no power steering which is the way the car was built, but we negotiated slow parking turns and cornering without an issue. If you get tired of the melodious tunes from the engine, you can listen to one of 12 discs you can insert into the CD player. As the plate on the back states “......JUICED”...... would be our total emotional and visual impression with the color, customization, and interior, and that simple gleaming engine with no seen hoses (how’......d he do that??!). A Chevrolet that lives up to its name and then some.... “......Special”......
1940 Chevrolet Special True art comes in many forms, whether it be brush to palette then canvas, or sculpting a form from a lump of clay, or starting with a raw log an...mored putting it on the lathe to create a bowl. 1969 Oldsmobile 442

Lot # 120 (Sale Order: 18 of 115)

1969 Oldsmobile 442 The "4-4-2" name, (pronounced "Four-Four-Two"), derives from the original car's four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual exhausts, (some maintain that the '2' indicated positive traction rear differential). It was originally written "4-4-2", (with badging showing hyphens between the numerals), and remained hyphenated throughout Oldsmobile's use of the designation. Beginning in 1965, the 4-4-2’......s standard transmission was a 3-speed manual along with an optional 2-speed automatic and 4-speed manual, but were still badged as "4-4-2"s. By 1968 badging was shortened to simply "442", but Oldsmobile brochures and internal documents continued to use the "4-4-2" model designation. For consignment a true, numbers matching, Olds 442 that was the beneficiary of a frame up restoration 10 years ago. Prior to this restoration it has spent its life in Florida and is now in the hands of its 4rd owner, who has performed some required maintenance and correcting some issues with drive-ability. The original owner’......s manual, GM of Canada historic paperwork, and window sticker is present and will come with the car, as well as complete documentation of the restoration. Exterior The original Glade Green is now a splendid Aztec Gold, and it is a well-done paint job. Wide black stripes race from the front hood to the windshield. Breaking up the stripes on the roof is a pristine black vinyl top. All badging and trim work as well as bumpers are very clean and nicely polished. A sloping rear deck rounds off nicely with vertical wrap around taillights that float between the trunk lid and the bumper. Dual chrome exhaust tips exit under the bumper through small coves in the bottom of the bumper. 15-inch honeycombed gold and polished Oldsmobile Super Stock II wheels and deep dishes are wrapped with Firehawk rubber. Interior A swing of the doors and we see plenty of tuck and roll vinyl with a triangular pattern in black for the panels. Front bucket seats are similar with the tuck and roll inserts and smooth black vinyl bolsters. These sit within a plastic molded tub that has a chrome piped edging where it meets the bolsters. Headrests are noted on the buckets, and a rear bench stretches from door to door. A very clean dash which is original but fully restored has all the correct buttons, instruments and knobs, and is fronted by a clean and beautiful steering wheel. The original AM/FM radio is in the center and a small cluster of 3 gauges hangs below the dash in a chromed bezel. Carpet is in very good condition, as is the headliner, nice and tight. Lest I forget the center console has matching burl wood appliqué... with a walnut spherical shift knob. Drivetrain A numbers matching 400ci V8 complete with a 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor, (the original carb is included as well), lurks under the black striped hood. The gold painted valve covers, and intake manifold are contrasted by the red Olds 442 badged air cleaner. Hoses are all supple and shiny, and absolutely not a hint of any corrosion under here. On the back is a TH400 3-speed automatic; also, numbers matching. A 12-bolt rear with 3.23 gears has posi-traction. Undercarriage As one would expect, the underside shows some surface rust and nice patina but is structurally sound. Floor pans are clean and rust free, and rockers have a slight bit of surface rust, but none invasive. Power disc brakes for the front, and power drums for the rear provide the stopping power. Independent coil springs are upfront and a 4 link with coil springs are on the back. A Flowmaster exhaust snakes its way rearward to the chrome tipped ends. Drive-Ability Certainly, a quick starter, and smooth runner. Nice power as we went through the paces thanks to a few timing and carburetor issues being corrected, along with good handling, and no creaking or squeaking when going through a turn. A great cruiser with some snappy acceleration, all looking good on the test drive with the exception of the radio not belting out tunes, the horn not beeping and the clock only being right twice a day. A muscle car that is a step above the GTO’......s and Chevelles with its upscale trimmings, textures and materials used. Similar coke bottle design, but done in a tasteful way, and this with the black over gold, stripes, and muscle under the hood, this car is definitely an investment that is sure to rise in the coming years. All numbers matching, and all restored so you can turn the key and drive away into the sunset. 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible

Lot # 121 (Sale Order: 19 of 115)

1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible Corvair was the brainchild of Chevrolet General Manager Ed Cole, said Corvair Preservation Foundation historian Dave Newell and technical adviser Larry Claypool. Cole began the project in 1956, ordering parts and blueprints under the guise that it was for GM's Australian division, Holden. This is similar to the surreptitious development of the GTO package for the Pontiac LeMans. Cole considered front- and rear-engine placement and 4 and 6-cylinder air and water-cooled engines. He settled on a 140-cubic-inch, rear-mounted, flat 6, air-cooled engine, powering a 15-foot, five-passenger car. For consignment, a Corvair Monza Convertible from 1965. This was the first year for the Fisher Z body and it addressed the Nader false accusation of the suspension being unsafe with a rear suspension that now resembled the Corvette. Exterior This two toned light and dark blue Corvair presents in fair condition for the exterior. There are areas of dulling, and some sap damage to the paint. The rockers show invasive rust under the stainless trim running along the bottom of this car. There is heavy involvement behind each wheel well. Other trim presents nicely, and there is plenty of it, even highlighting the gas filler door. On the back the trunk lid appears to have had a luggage rack installed at one time as the mounting holes are still within the trunk and a spot of cracked body filler on the center raised bodyline. Invasive rust is taking over the door jambs and bottom of the doors. Also, there are some large surface rusted scratches under the rear bumper, and in front of the roll pan is slight bubbling of the paint. The white canvas convertible top is solid but does not appear to have a rear window within it. Wire wheels are wrapped by thin white wall tires all around. Interior All original interior which shows some age in the form of smudges and areas of dulling on the original vinyl. Bucket seats upfront are original and have had lap belts added at the dealership. The rear bench is all there too in the same color and shows some loose and torn vinyl on the seats. The driver's seat has a tear on the upper back near the seam for the side panel. The original dash in dark and light blue painted metal houses original gauges, knobs and levers. The original AM radio is within the dash, and just below the ash receptacle has a missing door. Nice dark blue carpet covers the floors. Drivetrain A lift of the trunk and we see an albeit dusty and patina riddled 164 ci flat 6-cylinder engine. It has a 1-barrel carburetor on top, and a 4-speed manual transmission attached to this horizontally opposed air cooled configuration. A 3.27 gear ratio is on the Corvair. Undercarriage Plenty of years of patina and surface rust make up this undercarriage. Some areas are heavily involved. The center of the floor has some invasive rust that has taken the first layer of metal off at certain points. The bottom end of the engine has heavy oiling, and as the rockers are involved in the outer shell, we see invasive rust on the seam of the unibody on the underside. Drive-Ability This car started right up, and after a short warmup, ran great. Nice handling, a good ride, and shifting was effortless. I am concerned about the rust involvement, so it is difficult to say if it is truly structurally sound. We could classify this as a project car, with many areas that will need some TLC. For the ambitious restorer, here is something for you to do. VIN DECODE 105675W302446 1-Chevrolet 05-Corvair Monza 67-Convertible 5-1965 W-Willow Run, MI Assy Plant 302446-Sequential Unit Number

1955 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria

Lot # 122 (Sale Order: 20 of 115)

There is 50’......s cool then there is 50’......s AWESOME and this car definitely fits the latter. The beneficiary of an older restoration now showing its age in a few areas but still a stunner, this classic is dripping with all the trappings one would expect from a luxury car of that era…......Continental kit rear bumper, dual under the bumper exhaust, factory front and rear bumper guards, fender skirts, and the list goes on and on. Exterior With a true to form 50’......s color palette, we are greeted with straight steel panels minding their gaps, and bathed in two tone Tropical Rose, and Snowshoe White. A few flaws are noted in the rose section of the paint, particularly down low on the body which is showing inclusions, bubbling and evidence of some body filler. The white is showing some age also and is due for a repaint, but still shows well. It is broken up by the polished stainless steel of the now famous 'Fairlane strip' which flows gracefully from the top of the front fenders down the side of the car and hits the tail lights mid fender. Centered on the 'Fairlane strip' in the middle of the doors are great looking badging emblems with a faded gold crown, and silver Victoria in your grandmother's handwriting. Behind the rocker panels of the car, spotless stainless trim highlights pronounced rear fender skirts. Perfect tinted glass that is in excellent shape all around is accented by the Crown Victoria exclusive chrome 'basket handle' roof piece and stainless window trim. The roof is pretty in Tropical Rose (pink). Out back, the jet-age taillight lenses look new and are topped by a small fin which houses the backup lights. The trunk is backed by a Continental bumper complete with metal enclosed spare tire. Details abound, with lock cylinder covers all around and a single chromed exterior rear-view mirror mounted on top of the driver's door. Wide whites wrap polished wheel covers that have a centered cloisonné... Ford Badge. Interior Looking like it was plucked right out of a Silk City Dining Car, the beautiful white and light pink combo has a firm but comfortable feel, as well as all the aesthetics that come with the mid 50’......s. The door panels which mimic the “......Fairlane Strip”...... are pink up top, and white on the bottom and all the glass has new seals as well as new door weatherstripping installed. Climb in and you’......ll be surrounded by light rose horizontal tufted inserts and ultra-wide white vinyl bolsters which are on front and back benches. The back bench is noteworthy as it has an armrest inserted and above is framed by a multiple stepped “......V”...... with the Ford logo inside…......just beautifully cool in its own way. These seats are fronted by a perfect dash, in magenta and white metal, and with all correct instruments. All this is floating within an impeccable black thick pile carpet that has had sound deadener installed underneath. The headliner is just as impressive on the inside with the stainless basket handle breaking it up, and in white perforated vinyl. The trunk has had the once over with snowshoe paint, and the correct Ford plaid trunk liner and more sound deadener. Drivetrain The original 272ci V8 is looking fine with its orange painted block and intake, black Thunderbird logoed valve covers and a showroom condition gray oil bath air cleaner, all complete with correct decals. Absolutely no corrosion under the hood, supple hoses and a pristine radiator. On top of the engine, we see a single 2-barrel carburetor, and on the back is a Ford-O-Matic 3-speed automatic transmission. All power goes rearward to a Ford 9-inch rear axle weighing in with a 3.78 ratio. Undercarriage Very clean and definitely rust-free environment with a now black environment. A black and surface rusted frame remains structurally intact, and black floor pans that show slight road dirt and professionally replaced rear pans make up the underside. All body hangers and supports are intact as are the inner rockers. For the suspension we note independent coil springs in front, and leaf springs on the rear. Drum brakes are all around, and a dual exhaust system has been installed, albeit with mismatched mufflers. Drive-Ability My decoder partner in crime would be perfectly satisfied if every car was from the 50’......s, however variety is the spice of life, and this one has plenty of good taste. The car starts right up, runs like a champ, and rides like a dream. All instruments, fans etc were functioning, however the horn, radio, clock and heater blower are in need of repair. Also, we noted that the generator light would occasionally come on. I wanted to take the remainder of the day off and drive to the shore, but I could not get permission…...... If you are into 50’......s ultimate cool, with a smattering of creature comforts, diner like interior, and plenty of stainless shine, then this retro Fairlane may have your name on it. With a color combo t

1959 Ford Thames 300E Panel Van

Lot # 123 (Sale Order: 21 of 115)

1959 Ford Thames 300E Panel Van The Ford Thames 300E is a car derived van that was produced by Ford UK from 1954 to 1961. The Thames, (or Thames Trader), name was given to all available sizes of commercial vehicle produced by Ford in Britain from the 1950s through to 1965. In that year the Thames and Trader names were discontinued. And now for something completely different. You might call this a plum crazy machine from across the pond and given the apt name Thames, like the river, and now modified to be a one-of-a-kind street rod. You will not want to miss this one!! Exterior Looking decidedly British with its small stature single headlight and stainless-steel gridded grille we have a truck in the form of a 300E panel van. It's small, it's cute and has the windows covered over for the cargo area. Access to this area is through the center out swinging rear doors. Everything is bathed in purple right down to the oversized scooped hood. Some lighter purple pinstripe flourishes are adorning the corners and edge framing of the side panels. Looking a lot like the old Rat Fink cartoons with somewhat normal drawn bodies and exaggerated engines and tires, this truck emulates that “......Car”......toon" genre. This truck rod has a chromed rocker edge and a shiny front and rear bumper. Stuffed underneath are chrome 5 spoke Cragar SS wheels with 14 inches upfront wrapped in 185/60R14’......s and in back giant 15 inch wheels wrapped with 295/50R15’......s. Smoke ‘......em if ya got ‘......em and this baby does! Interior Black vinyl with some tuck and roll bordered by purple painted steel for the door panels. This leads to the inside for the black cloth with vinyl bolstered high back racing seats. These chairs are stuffed into the cockpit and are fronted by a purple full metal jacket dash. Sunpro white face gauges pepper the purple, and a rally style steering wheel fronts the dash. There is a large tachometer on the column and turn signals and tilt levers are billet aluminum. Black carpeting covers the floors for the front and back cargo area. In the center of the dash on the floor sits a B&M shifter. Nice tight gray tweed material lines the roof and sidewalls of the cargo area. Drivetrain Not unlike the “......Car”......toons" a large 350ci V8 all polished and shiny metal encapsulated there is a 650 Holley 4-barrel carb on top to feed it through an aluminum intake manifold. On back is a TH350 3-speed automatic, and the rear tires are spun by a Dana 60 3.73 posi rear. A very nice, machined look under this scoop. Braided stainless hoses and a shiny small air cleaner covering add to the look. Undercarriage Very nicely done underneath with nary even a hint of road dirt. Rack and pinion steering, independent coil overs with disc braking up front, and out back ladder bars with coil overs which are QA1 adjustable, along with drum braking is noted. Headers and a glass pack style exhaust exit on either side just prior to the rear tubbed wheel wells. This truck is now equipped with an 8-gallon fuel cell. Very sound underneath and looking good to boot! Drive-Ability Hopping in was like entering Mr. Toad's wild ride. Here it fired right up with a mighty roar and on the test track performed with neck snapping acceleration, good handling and excellent braking stopping on a dime. All functions were working just fab. A very unique build to say the least with its exaggerated front hood and rear tires, bathed in plum crazy purple, and a snappy interior. I say ol chap, let's go for a spin!

1967 Mercury Cougar Resto Mod

Lot # 124 (Sale Order: 22 of 115)

1967 Mercury Cougar Not exactly hot on the heels of Ford Division's extremely successful Mustang, was the 1967 Cougar. Actually, the decision to go ahead and build Mercury's version of the Mustang was made in February of 1965. The Cougar was envisioned to be a more elegant, high line Pony car that would exude a bit more class and yet still encompass the qualities that made the Mustang so popular--a smaller sporty sedan that would handle well and still be economical enough for the younger customer. For consignment…......a restomod version of the Cougar right out of 1967. Fully murdered out in sinister black, a big block V8, upgraded suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes and custom touches galore. It's time to grab this untamed kitty by the tail and enjoy the 1967 Motortrend Car of The Year. Exterior The Cougar is quite different from the Mustang in the realm of styling. Most noticeable was the front end "electric shaver" split Grille treatment with concealed headlights and this particular car has upgraded electric actuation and LED lighting that leads to the reverse scooped hood. At the rear, it came with T-Bird sequential taillights. These taillights have had their sequencers removed but still shine brightly. Deep end of the pool sinister midnight black covers the panels which show some usage, inclusion and cracks, particularly at the molded in rear quarter caps but all else is straight and smooth. All chrome and brightwork has been fully blacked out and the door handles have been shaved. Dual exhaust with blacked out tips peek out the back at the bottom of the chassis. Black with polished lip 17 and 18-inch Ridler wheels give this cat sure footing along with staggered size and width blackwall radial rubber. A shout out to the trunk with its plaid finished mat and relocated battery. Meow!! Interior Swinging one of the two doors open, we are met with more black in the form of lowback bomber style buckets with tuck and roll inserts and smooth bolsters. A rear bench, providing room for 3, fills the rear of the cabin and all of the seating appears as new. This car does not sport the XR-7 package so we see the standard clean black padded dash giving way for a black steel lower section and twin round gauge pods in front of the driver. These gauges are some of the few deviations from the all black theme with their silver faces and red pointers. An aftermarket tachometer sits to the left just above the slides for the heater/defroster controls and to the right are a series of warning lights. A late model General Motors steering column fronts the dash and gives us the much appreciated tilt feature. In the center of the dash are ducting outlets and an aftermarket AM/FM/CD player and just below are a trio of white-faced gauges. Medium loop black carpet floods the floors and hanging above is a tight black headliner. Finishing off the interior tour are black vinyl door panels with a vertically stitched center and bright chrome for the door actuators and window cranks. These panels present in good shape but do show some wrinkling of the material, especially around the edges. Drivetrain Under the scooped hood is the roaring heart and soul of this Cougar. A rebuilt and bored .030 blue painted 460ci V8 now resides between the fenders and with ported C9VE-A heads, its growl is heard for miles. This big mill is topped with an aluminum intake manifold and a Holley 750cfm 4bbl carburetor. Keeping things well dressed are polished and ribbed valve covers along with a matching air cleaner assembly. A 3-speed automatic C6 transmission sends power rearward through a 31 spline Ford 8.8”...... 3.73 TracLoc pumpkin to boil the hides. Undercarriage All solid underneath with miles of black painted steel and undercoating. A solid and clean unibody with subframe connectors provides the backbone for the DMJ independent coil spring front suspension and power rack and pinion steering while in the back we see leaf springs on for the ride. Power disc brakes are noted on all 4 corners, and we see a custom dual exhaust system with Cherrybomb mufflers. All these parts work together to keep this big cat sure footed through all the curves. Drive-Ability A quick starter and very smooth runner with acceleration aplenty just push foot further to floor. Bias free braking thanks to the 4-wheel discs, and good handling make this a luxury muscle car much more upscale than the Mustang, and more powerful especially with that big block up front. Our drive garnished quite a few looks and thumbs up and I enjoyed myself so much with this fully functional Merc that I took a second lap just so I could draw in the excitement again. Restomods are hot these days and this car hits every mark properly. All blacked out and straight as an arrow, this Mercury was well thought out during its build and assembly. Much more luxurious than a Mustang, and in this iteration much more powerful to boot. Visit our Hallowed Halls an

1946 Mercury Convertible

Lot # 125 (Sale Order: 23 of 115)

1946 Mercury Convertible A lead sled is a standard production automobile with a body heavily modified in a particular way. Especially, though not exclusively, a 1949, 1950, or 1951 model year Ford or Mercury. In the name, lead refers to the heavy weight of the body, and sled refers to the lowering of the vehicle, giving these vehicles the appearance that they were slip sliding down the highway. For consignment, in all out Kustom Kemp form, we have a Canadian 1946 Mercury convertible. Canadian Mercurys were simply rebadged Ford bodies sold in the Great White North. It is believed that this Kustom before your eyes is one of 40 '46 Merc convertibles that were built. Almost every possible body modification has been done to the rust-free car and it just oozes 50's styling. During its tenure with our consignor, it has been featured in not one, not two but 3, count them three calendars. Read on to be amazed and left in awe. Exterior A slammed, nosed, shaved, decked, chopped, frenched, and Lake piped, this Mercury that has seen many an hour of customization, is dripping in a metallic mauve paint job. A custom white convertible top was added on to a chopped pillar line and includes a small glass rear window. 1959 Cadillac taillights that have been frenched in along with simplified headlights with cat's eye covers. A new grille courtesy of a 1946-1948 Oldsmobile is up front and appears to be giving a disapproving frown. Dummy spotlights are seen on each side in front of the doors and dummy Lake pipes are seen down below. Kustom roll pans have been added to the front and rear of the car while full sized fender skirts cover up the rear tires. Bullet style hubcaps are on all four wheels and are wrapped in thin radial white wall rubber. Interior A quick flip of the interior door handle and we are met with a seat of white vinyl. White tuck and roll vinyl door panels and blinding and have a walnut burl insert that holds the armrest. A brushed aluminum door release and window crank also float in this sea of white. Down low is an aftermarket speaker and trimming out the bottom of the panel is mauve carpeting. Sliding into the well padded white vinyl tuck and roll split front bench seat we are in comfort heaven. A rear bench emulates the front and is equally as comfy. A woodgrain LeCarra steering wheel is mounted on a mauve metallic tilt column. This fronts a custom walnut burl faced dashboard complete with a litany of Classic Instruments gauges with gold bezels to monitor all engine functions. Deep pile mauve carpeting covers the floors and is perfectly soft enough to soothe my toes on a long drive. Drivetrain A mauve metallic 350ci V8 Chevrolet mill replaces the original engine and is topped by a 3-2bbl manifold and Rochester 2 jet carb setup that only runs on the center carburetor. A nice addition are the Corvette ribbed aluminum valve covers with mauve paint added between the ribs. This is backed up by a bolted-on TH350 3-speed automatic tranny, as well as a 10-bolt rear from a Camaro. A mirrored firewall gives extra bling to the engine bay and provides a great addition to all the mauve and aluminum parts. Undercarriage A factory issued frame and floor pan set run from the rear of the car to the firewall and display in black with no rust in sight. From the firewall forward we see a grafted in Camaro subframe. This subframe gives not only better suspension geometry but it provides the added benefits of power disc brakes, power steering and an independent coil spring front suspension. On the rear we have traditional leaf springs providing the ride. Block hugger heads send spent fossils to the rear of the car by way of a pair of glasspack style mufflers. Well thought out and tidy down here. Drivability I donned my white T-shirt, leather jacket, and my pack of Luckys then slid behind the wheel of this lead sled. It roared to life with a turn of the key, and I was off to the Classic Auto Mall test track. Here the car performed quite well with ample acceleration, good handling and bias free panic stopping. I did notice the car was devoid of any form of heat or air conditioning, but hey, it's a convertible! All was well as I rolled low and slow off the track and back to meet my partner in crime for a quick lunch. If you're in the market for a well-executed lead sled with all the makings of Kemp then this is the ride for you. Massive amounts of body customization, a reliable simplistic drivetrain, and a comfortable Kustom interior all meld well together to form a splendid Kustom that is ripe for the picking. Even Edd "Kookie" Byrnes would be blown away by the amount of Kemp!

1935 Ford Model 48 Tudor Deluxe

Lot # 126 (Sale Order: 24 of 115)

1935 Ford Model 48 Tudor Deluxe The Model 48 was an update on Ford's V8 powered Model 40A, the company's main product. This 1935 Ford's combination of price, practicality, and looks vaulted the company ahead of rival Chevrolet for the sales crown that year, with 820,000 sold. A thorough refresh on the popular V8 powered Ford. The four-cylinder Model A engine was no longer offered, leaving just the 221ci V8 to power every Ford car and truck. This consignment, a 1935 Ford Model 48 with a mere 3 owners, a rebuilt in 2004 engine, a paint job performed in the 60's and is definitely worth a look, as it's a great running classic in great condition that has been well maintained. With timeless styling and thanks to exterior lighting upgrades this classic can now be driven anywhere. Exterior A very attractive dark green paint, which was sprayed sometime in the 1960's, holds up nicely on all panels which are straight and have well minded gaps. Some flaws are noted in the paint and include cracking, crazing, and touch ups. A nice V shaped slanted out on the bottom vertical ribbed grille is in the center of bullet style headlights, round open-ended horns on either side, driving and signal lights. A curved bumper is below and shows nicely with bumperettes and even a thin chrome overriders. For 1935 Ford began the process of integrating the fenders with the hood cowl, a feature which this car is showing nicely. Nicely curved bars hang from the doors and have shiny mirrors atop of these bars. Door handles are nicely preserved, and running boards are covered with black rubber. Up top, keeping with the available technology of the time, a black texture finish vinyl insert is seen covering the center of the roof. A humpback design for the trunk which shows nicely chromed latches on either side. A metal encased spare tire is mounted below the trunk lid and is flanked by signal lights on stalks and sporting round chrome bezels integrated into the rear fenders. Below, an eyebrow curved bumper frames the bottom of the rear of this car and presents nicely. Light Green Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with a V8 chromed hub cap, are wrapped by wide whites all around. Per our consignors’...... notes, all of the lighting has been converted to LED. Interior A swing of the doors and we have plenty of saddle vinyl covering the doors with a thin band of carpeting below. Peering in we note a pair of low back bucket seats are covered in a knitted plaid vinyl covers overtop of the original light camel mohair. Another cover appears on the long rear bench seat which has armrests mounted on the mohair side panels. We note Art Deco ball styled ashtrays also on the rear panels. A nice taupe metal dash fronts the passenger seating, and has the original gauges within it, and is fronted by a nice polished bakelite rimmed banjo style steering wheel in chrome and black. Black indoor/outdoor carpet covers the front floors and in the rear, we see plush camel tan medium pile carpeting. A tan mohair headliner hangs above and shows with some discoloration and water staining. Drivetrain Lifting the twin side cowling reveals the original 221ci flathead V8 which was completely rebuilt in 2004 and has logged a mere 1,535 miles since. All is looking good with nicely presenting heads and single 2bbl carburetor sits atop under the oil bath air cleaner. We note a 12-volt conversion has been done and along with a full fluid change. A 3-speed manual transmission is on back which sends power to a 4.11 geared rear axle. Undercarriage Solid but patinaed with a liberal coating of surface rust on most of the components. The frame, flooring and all body hangers are accounted for and structurally sound. New kingpins have been installed as well as all new mechanical drum brakes to bring this car to a whoa! Transverse leaf springs give a comfortable ride from both front and rear suspensions. Headers are seen feeding Smithy's mufflers in a dual exhaust arrangement and things are all buttoned up and ready for the road down here. Drive-Ability Thanks to the rebuild this car started right up and on the test track performed nicely. All was solid with steering and brakes, and functions were functioning! Save for some flaws in the 55 plus year old paint job, the body is in great shape on this car. The lines and other chrome trimmings are good, as well as it having clear delamination free glass installed. There are also some new, used and NOS uninstalled parts that will come with this car, enough so that a pickup truck will need to be used to haul them all. The total package of a great looker and a great driver, awaiting you in our Hallowed Halls.

1970 Buick GS455 GSX

Lot # 127 (Sale Order: 25 of 115)

1970 Buick GS455 GSX For consignment, and equipped with the newly developed 455ci. engine, the GSX touted a whopping 510-lb.ft. of torque--this from a division that catered to the upright businessman and the moderately successful family alike--bolted into a car that, had he’......d potential to wipe away the competition in one fell swoop, all the while looking very classy. 1 of the 491 Saturn Yellow GSX's built for the model year, with all the correct numbers in the VIN and on the trim tag, this gentleman's muscle car from the Buick camp is calling for you to tear up the boulevard all the while wearing your best 3 piece suit. Exterior For this hardtop sport coupe from 1970 and GM division of Buick, we have a very bold statement in many ways right here. Screaming in Saturn Yellow with black stripes, this zonker comes to our consignor and eventually to us through the Grant Miller personal collection. It is all in excellent condition, and has certainly no rust or major faults in the straight steel which appears to be all original to this car. A V shaped grille surrounded by shiny trim has a dual flanking headlight setup on either side. A nicely preserved bumper below is matching the shape of the front of the muscle car, along with a small black chin spoiler just below the bumper. The hood has dual wide black satin stripes running up the center, these have dual intakes in the mid section and a drivers side mounted exterior tachometer looking back to the driver's wheel through the front glass. On the sides, a black decal trim spear starts upfront, and runs to the back, ever widening as it goes on its journey. It has a pair of thin red stripes just outside its borders. On the back, it takes a sharp turn upward and runs across the top of the rear spoiler. A beautifully gracefully curved rear glass gently lowers itself to the trunk deck and that spoiler, all with stainless around the glass. Below the trunk is a built in shiny rear bumper which undulates with the shape of the back of the car, and sports inset tail lighting, and a B U I C K badge. The roofline is very sexy for this 2 door coupe, and on the bottom, the car floats on shiny 15-inch Buick Rallye wheels wrapped in G60/15 Goodyear Polyglas rubber forum the 18th week of 2020. Interior A swing of the doors reveals some smooth black vinyl covering for the doors on their insides. Horizontal embossing adds some interest to these panels within which float an armrest, actuator window crank and mirror joystick, along with a 3D red GS badge. Inside, medium high back sport buckets are in front with a bench in back. These chairs have textured woven inserts in tuck and roll, and shiny but slightly textured black bolsters and snappy molded in headrests. The bench in back is all excellent for the rear passengers and in the same pattern also in black, and factory condition. The dash is extremely clean, and all original with its trio of square inserts with round gauges and a chronograph clock in front of the rally steering wheel. Just below is a wood appliqué... horizontal strip of walnut with various dials, toggles, and pulls. In the center is a factory AM/FM radio and just below the console starts its journey past the buckets and ending prior to mid buckets. This console is in molded plastic and shows as black. Here we see an inset Buick triple shield badge, the Hurst shifter and some chromed trimmings wrapping the hump which is all covered in clean like new black carpeting. A black tight headliner in vinyl is above all this muscle menagerie. Drivetrain A flip of the hood and it's all gleaming with excitement as are my eyes opening into this muscle car madness. Here I note a 455ci V8 which is the correct engine for the car but the stamping and suffix code has been machined off so there is no VIN or engine stamping code to verify it is matching. It does however show an engine casting number that is correct for the car and falls into 1970-71 production of the 455ci V8. On top is a single 4-barrel carb which is correct for the stamping code for the car, but would have been installed at the factory on a 1970 automatic GSX. Topping this mill off is the factory correct dual snorkel ram air air cleaner assembly dressed to the nines in black paint and sporting GS 455 and Stage 1 decals. The transmission is a 4-speed manual Muncie M20 which codes out as a 1966-1967 model now strapped to the rear of the mill. Way back presents us with a 10 bolt 3.42 Positraction rear axle with an OO stamping code. Undercarriage Just showroom quality with no dirt and all black surfaces with no rust. Some shiny parts are also intermixed like the gas tank and exhaust system which is factory correct. Stamped floorpans are perfect, and the engine bottom end has no drips or leaks with any blowback. All very clean with power disc braking upfront, and power drums on back. Independent coil springs are in front and a 4 link with coil springs are in
