1988 Jaguar Xjs V12 Convertible

Lot # 615 (Sale Order: 15 of 54)

Offered for sale is a 5.3L 1988 Jaguar XJ-S Convertible Auto automatic. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 107/135. Just 16,000 miles can you resist? An early UK production XJS V12 Convertible, presented in the unusual, but very pleasant colour combination of Satin Beige metallic with Magnolia Hide, this is a rare opportunity to enjoy a low mileage Jaguar convertible that has been recently recommissioned and is now starting to enjoy the classic status it always deserved. A low mileage car from its early life onwards, the first owner kept it from new until 1998 when he sadly passed away and ownership transferred to his widow who then put it into professional long term storage. The mileage on 2 previous MOT certificates in the limited history file show that in 1996 it had covered 11,958 miles and when it went in to storage the last MOT in March '97 confirmed 14,214 recorded miles. Recovered from storage and finally sold on in June 2007, the vehicle was then briefly recommissioned by the new owner and an MoT from May 2007 confirms the mileage of 14,813 and an MoT from May 2008 the mileage of 15,036. Then returned to long term storage and taken off the road again, the car finally changed hands for the third and final time in September 2014, when it was once again recommissioned and fully serviced with total expenditure in excess of å£7,000. The car was then sent for MoT in March 2015 with a mileage of 15,163 and today the car has covered 16,000 miles. åÊ Exterior: 4/5, Interior: 4/5, Engine: 4/5, Transmission: 4/5, Running gear: 4/5, Electrics: 4/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1990 Austin Mini 2.0

Lot # 618 (Sale Order: 18 of 54)

Offered for sale is a 1998L 1990 Austin Mini Mayfair 2.0 Saloon manual. Coming with a partial history file, this lot's condition scores 72/135. G774 PRR began life as a 1 litre Mini Mayfair before being purchased in August of 2010, the car you see here today has taken 3 years to build and has been a real labour of love. The first job was to remove any serious corrosion, a new rear valence was fitted, boot floor repaired and one new A panel was fitted. The original asthmatic A series engine was consigned to the bin and a new front subframe kit and mounts were fitted from a company called Keveric Motorsport. A Vauxhall 20SEH engine was chosen as the new power plant from a Cavalier 130 mated to an F16 close ratio 5 speed gearbox, this was chosen as the owner wanted to retain the classic round nose Mini silhouette as opposed to other Mini engine conversions that have to use a Clubman nose cone. We are informed of lots of cutting, welding, and fabrication took place to make this fantastic transplant successful. A reverse inlet plenum has been fitted along with equal length drive shafts to help cope with additional torque. The engine is running standard Monotronic ECU, K & N air filter, custom exhaust manifold/downpipes, Mini play 2'' rear silencer with intermediate cherry bomb and MPI fuel tank with internal electric fuel pump. The bonnet is fibreglass, the rest of the front up to the A panels is steel and is easily removed by 4 steel pins to gain access to engine and running gear. The radiator is cooled with a Kenlow rear fan and electronic thermostat, the mechanical unit is cool running. (The only consideration here is that there is an awful lot of engine in a such a confined space and whilst cooling is adequate there isn't much in reserve so hot stationary traffic for long periods of time is a no no in this bad boy).Suspension is standard mini rubber cone but fully Polybushed and Gaz adjustable shocks, adjustable tie rods, lower arms and rear toe and camber. The front brakes are are Metro Turbo callipers with ERA bolts, grooved and vented discs with Mintex pads, Goodridge braided hoses. The rear brakes are Minifin alloy drums and Goodridge braided hoses. Wheels are 7 X 13 Minilites fitted with new Yokohama tyres all round. From a distance the interior looks stock standard but look closer and you will see a custom fibreglass dash has been fitted with multi function digital dash, red rocker flap push button start, and a Vaiuxhall 5 speed gear shift mechanism. Repainted over a period of 3 months in yellow with contrasting black roof with new chrome work including bullet style door mirrors. Importantly the car is properly registered with the DVLA as a 1998cc Mini, and has an MOT until June of 2016. Not for the faint hearted or those with a nervous disposition. (Also supplied with new indoor car cover) åÊ åÊ åÊ Exterior: 3/5, Interior: 3/5, Engine: 3/5, Transmission: 3/5, Running gear: 3/5, Electrics: 3/5, Vehicle history: 3/5 For a full condition report, view this car on www.classiccarauctions.co.uk/.

1997 Ferrari F355 Spider

Lot # 620 (Sale Order: 20 of 54)

Offered for sale is a 3.5L 1997 Ferrari F355 Spider manual that has been with the current owner for over 10 years. Coming with an extensive history file, this lot's condition scores an impressive 108/135. A beautiful Manual F355 Spider. Finished in striking Giallo Fly Yellow, with contrasting black leather. The F355 Spider debuted in 1995, its Pininfarina penned lines honed by 1,800 hours in the wind tunnel, resulting in a blend of aerodynamic performance and elegant style. For the first time on a Ferrari, the semi-automatic soft-top was powered electrically. Initially, the Spider was offered with a 6-speed transmission of which just 2,664 were produced. The longitudinally mounted 3496cc V8 produced a stunning 380 horsepower at a spine tingling 8,250 rpm. The gearbox now had six speeds, with a new design of synchromesh that made it much easier to shift. New electronically adjustable shock absorbers varied their stiffness within milliseconds to suit the road surface. Around Ferrari's 1.86 mile Fiorano test track the 355 was two seconds a lap faster than the 12 cylinder 512 TR and that level of performance combined with its sensational shape made it a worldwide success story. This left hand drive car was supplied new on 02/07/1997 to Ferrari Lausanne in Switzerland, the car has remained in Swiss hands for much of its life where, at the time of cataloguing the car had covered 59,995kms, roughly 37,289 miles. We believe that the car has always been well maintained and the service book indicates the following service records. 25/04/2001 at 18970km. Full cambelt service by Sport Auto Staub AG, Gisikon.01/02/2002 at 25671km. Service by Sport Auto Staub AG, Gisikon.14/06/2006 at 46536km.
