Gebogene Lauf, Krummlauf J ('Curved Barrel') for MP44 Machine Gun

Lot # 51 (Sale Order: 51 of 190)      

This device was developed by the Germans in WWII to be mounted on a MP44series rifle. Normally used inside of a tank or an armored vehicle to provide protection from infantry assault. Additionally this item was used to shoot around the corner of buildings.

This particular specimen is the 11" 30-degree variety with the provision for the screw-on attachment for the grenade launching cup. This unit, marked "VG 13," is provided with a prow-shaped plate to deflect gases escaping from the relief holes.

.45 caliber, 10.5" barrel, S/N 2265 matches. Marked on the left side of gun Model 1921 and serial number in two lines. Marked in the rear of frame Thompson Submachine gun, Caliber.45 Automatic Colt Cartridge, Manufactured By Colt Patent Fire Arms MFG. Co, Hartford Conn U.S.A. in five lines.With fifty-round Bridgeport drum. All internal parts are Colt made and original to the gun. Walnut buttstock with trap in butt; pistol grip and forward grip. **Swiss Stg Model 51 Machine Gun

Lot # 56 (Sale Order: 55 of 190)      

7.5mm (kurz), short cartridge, 22" barrel fitted with flash suppressor, S/N 108. This firearm was used in the Swiss Army troop trials in 1952. Marked on top of receiver Waffenabrik, Swiss cross in shield, Bern and number 108. This rifle resembles externally the German FG42. Rifle is complete with bipod, telescope and case, box of ammunition, and bayonet. Curio & Relic fully transferable.
