Long Description: The flat based heavy serrated fragmentation body has a cylindrical neck with a forward taper at the end. The body of the grenade has the number “29” cast into it. On the base of the grenade, stenciled in white, are the markings “386-2-81; ????”. Stamped into the metal of the UZRGM fuze handle are the markings “?????-65; and 61 inside a double circle. This is a mismatch item. The 386 code identifies the body as Soviet, but the 61 in the double circle denotes a Bulgarian fuze.

Stamped into the metal of the UZRG fuze handle are the markings “?????; 22-65-386”. The number “22” is stenciled in black ink denoting the lot number.

The very hard rock like old plaster fill that has darkened and has minor chips. There are no markings on the body. The UZRGM fuze safety handle is slightly rusted and is marked “386- - ?” on the outside. The space indicates where there should be more markings, but they were never entered. Ink stamped on the inside of the handle is “?????; 386-?-60-70”.

Type Designator/Model: RKG-3E...moreM Cal./Size: 3-inches in diameter and 15 ¼-inches long Color: Dark green with black markings. Manufacturer: Factory 62. Country of Origin: Soviet Russia. Long Description: The two-piece thin metal body is joined in the center where the forward edge of the shaped charge cone is located on the inside. The forward part of the body has longitudinal flutes. The metal handle is screwed onto the body. There are four small inerting holes drilled into the base of the body. Also, paper residue covers some of the upper body, but we think it can be removed. Some of the paint is missing. Stenciled markings on the body are “8; 24; and instructions in English on how to deploy the grenade”. Stenciled on the forward end of the body is “RKG-3EM; TH-45; 62-33-83”. Stenciled on the handle is “62-33-82”. Someone has scratched “INERT” on the warhead. With the instructions in English, this may indeed be a converted to NATO use or training.

The base of the grenade has a moveable aluminum time ring to set the delay time. A tube through the center of the grenade allows the launching cartridge bullet to pass through. Has internals. Developed in Imperial period at the end of WWI and continued by Soviets till 1930s.
