WWII German Anti-Tank "Sticky" Grenade Mine

Lot # 1174 (Sale Order: 175 of 916)

**THIS LOT, AND ALL ITEMS IN THIS AUCTION, ARE INERT AND DEMILITARIZED** Flat based cone shaped hand grenade body with a tall fuze Type Designator/Model: Panzerhandmine (...moresticky) Cal./Size: 2"D base and 8.5"T. Color: Light brown with a blue fuze top Manufacturer: Unknown. Country of Origin: Germany. Some reports state the Waffen SS developed this Grenade mine and it performed poorly due to the adhesive not being strong enough and not being powerful enough against increasingly thicker armor. Has a sticky felt base (stickiness has worn off) and the protective screw cap cover is not present.. A shaped charge in the grenade would then penetrate the armor if it was not to thick. A pull friction fuze is used. Markings on the body appear to be “fCf 43”. It is our opinion, this Panzerhandmine has been repainted.
