Condition Notes:The cart came with soft leather covering for the cart, wheels, and horse shaft. This covering protected the cart from any major damage as it was stored. The cart does not appear to be extensively used. All of the parts of the carts are still in good working order. There is no rust on the cart. The removable padding on the seat does not have holes or tears. The wheels need air, but other than that are fine. The cart needs a cleaning from dust and dirt from the barn. The cart could still be used again.
Dating:Ca. 1960s. The Wilform Buggy Works in Long Beach, California were in operation from 1937 through either the late 1970s or early 1980s. This type of pony cart was featured in a newspaper article on the company [Vera Williams, Machine Age Buggy Maker, Independent Press-Telegram (Long Beach, California), 13 March 1960].
