C. 19th Century .840 Silver W/Cloisonne Enamel Artwork Egg W/Portrait Of Jesus Hand-Painted On Silver Insert-This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of fine art from Russia. You simply can't find these pieces available as part of general circulation, as the last one that was sold was at a "Royals Only Auction". This stunning piece is finely crafted of SOLID .840 Russian Silver. The egg itself has (2) front panels that open, and inside there is a hand-painted image of Jesus painted on a .840 solid silver removable insert, that when lifted leads to the lower storage compartment. The outer artwork on the surface of the egg is finely crafted cloissone enamel. Measurements: (2.5"x1.25" & is approx. 2.75" when open). This piece can be worn as a pendant, but it is so rare and beautiful we are representing it as a pure investment piece. This attraction was completed prior to Disneyland's Opening Day in 1955. It depicts the "Black Forest" were Snow White was sent to die. This piece has very intricate detail, and is of particular importance because this concept was never meant to be released into the public, as most Disney concepts were destroyed or locked up in their archives. This is truly a piece of history! My consignor cared for Stan Jolley in his old age prior to his death in June of 2012. This piece came directly from the "Disneyland Imagineer"-(as Walt Disney called him) Stan Jolley's estate. Estimated Value: $8,000-$9200.
