Disneyland 1950's Concept Art "English Garden Island/Tom Sawyer"By: Stan Jolley-THIS IS AN ORIGINAL 1950'S PHOTOSTAT-This piece is an extremely rare find, as it is the original concept for what is known as "Tom Sawyer's Island" at Disneyland. It was first named "English Garden Island" while the concept was first designed, and this piece was to be destroyed as it was a "VOIDED" concept. However, it does show the same layout for the island that was actually used from the date of opening in 1955 and was the design of the island until the 1970's. This piece shows where the boats would come & go, the river as well as the attractions on the island. My consignor cared for Stan Jolley in his old age prior to his death in June of 2012. This piece came directly from the "Disneyland Imagineer"-(as Walt Disney called him) Stan Jolley's estate. Estimated Value: $4,800-$5200. Disneyland 1950's Concept Art ""Alice's House/Alice In Wonderland"By: Stan Jolley-This amazing piece is an *Original 1950's Photostat* concept of "Alice's House" from ALICE IN WONDERLAND that is located in Storybook Land in the Disneyland Park. It depicts all (4) angels, and shows the house in great detail. One angel even displays the front yard with a little birdhouse, a watering can & a wheelbarrow. This is an extremely rare find, as these concepts were mostly destroyed. This attraction was an original attraction that was part of Disneyland on opening day in 1955. VERY RARE-My consignor cared for Stan Jolley in his old age prior to his death in June of 2012. Disneyland 1950's Concept Art "Village Church/Alice In Wonderland"*ALL ANGELS* By: Stan Jolley-This piece is an *ORIGINAL 1950'S PHOTOSTAT* concept for "The Village Church" in "Alice In Wonderland". This is the original concept for the church as it stood from all (4) Angels, and displays great detail. The Alice In Wonderland attraction was completed by Christmas Eve 1954 at the Disneyland Park (in "Storybook Land") following the release of the movie in 1951. This attraction was completed prior to Disneyland's Opening Day in 1955. The church is of particular importance in the movie because it is where little Alice fell down the hole. The church is even seen in the movie itself. This is truly a piece of history! My consignor cared for Stan Jolley in his old age prior to his death in June of 2012. This piece came directly from the "Disneyland Imagineer"-(as Walt Disney called him) Stan Jolley's estate. This is an ultra rare find, as most Disney concepts are destroyed or archived.
