Condition: Very good to excellent. Blade with light wear and age patina. Grip scales excellent.

8 1/4-inch spearpoint lockback blade, with single cutting edge. Unmarked. Embossed German silver crossguard with shell and scroll decor. Stag grip panels secured with steel bullseye rivets. German silver rectangular escutcheon inlay on one of grip panels. Roped edging to brass liners. Overall length when open, 17 1/8-inches.
Condition: Fine. Minor surface pitting on blade, more pronounced on spring and lock. Minor nick and patina on cutting edge. Dull patina to German silver mount and dark patina to panel rivets. Grip panels fine, with slight warping at juncture with crossguard.

Large Folding Bowie Knife By Bunting, Sheffield, With Double Lock Blade

7 7/8-inch clipped point lockable blade, the ricasso stamped "12857/R. Bunting/and Sons/Sheffield." Left side of blade stamped "Manufactured by R. Bunting & Sons/Warranted of the Best Quality." Fluted German silver bolsters at juncture with blade. Select hardwood grip panels secured by German silver pins, and with oval escutcheon inlaid on one side. Beaded brass liners. Rounded butt profile to handle. Double lock system, including securing blade when closed. Overall length when opened, 16 3/4-inches.
Condition: Very good. Gray and brown patina to steel, with pitting. Sharpening has reduced tip of blade slightly. Mellow patina to bolster, with marks and wear. Grip panels with wear, marks, some chipping, and old revarnish. Old 1 1/2-inch long wood repair near bolster on right grip panel.

Sheepfoot blade of 4 1/16-inches, the left side marked "Charles." Accessory of corkscrew. Handsomely engraved gold bolsters, with similarly decorated gold circular mounts to ivory grip panels, and shield escutcheons. Steel liners. Overall length with blade opened, 8 1/2-inches.
Condition: Very good. Gray and black patina and wear to steel with pitting, and tiny tip missing from blade. Wear to gold, with small dent on right bolster and tiny nicks on right shield escutcheon and right rear inlay at butt. Small repair on left bolster adjacent to ricasso. Replacement circular inlay left side at butt. Mellow patina to grip panels, wear.

Condition: Very good. Gray patina to steel, with light pitting. Blade polished. Grip panels with denting, small pieces broken off each side, primarily at ends, and tip of one leaf at which is tiny crack across panel. Slight separation of panel from liner at hilt.

Condition: Very good. Blade polished, pitting, some of which obscures much of marking. Blade shortened approximately 1/2-inch due to extensive sharpening. Cracks, wear, repair and dents in bolsters. Grip panels polished, with cracks on left side, light repair and filler.

Banded central panel engraved with maple leaf motif. Contained in original black leather scabbard with German silver throat. A very rare and unique bowie knife.
Condition: Near mint blade, the grip with light wear and age patina. Scabbard with light wear and scuffs. Missing belt stud.

Leather scabbard with silver-finished and decorated bronze mounts, with belthook on throat.
Condition: Fine. Etching excellent. Light patina on steel, minor pitting. One grip panel loose. Silvered mounts with 90% finish, the silver with dark tarnish. Scabbard very good to fine with light wear, 95% tarnished silver finish, and minor bend near tip.

Gold-tooled leather scabbard with border motifs both sides and "I*XL" one side, and with German silver mounts.
Condition: Fine. Blade in unsharpened condition with original crocus of iron polish. Minor light surface pitting on steel and minor scratches. Mellow patina and light wear to German silver. Grip panels with light cracking at butt. Original scabbard worn. Patina to German silver with light dents.
