Circular ejector rod button. Case-hardened U.S. marked frame. D.F.C. inspector stamp above frame number. Gripstrap with restamped number. Cylinder restamped. Walnut grips with no inspector cartouche visible. Contained in rare original 1881 U.S. martial brown leather cavalry holster marked: Lanz Owen & Co./Chicago.

Condition:
Good as reconfigured and refinished. Faded case-hardening. Retaining slight traces of finish in protected areas, the remainder with light patina. Gripstrap and cylinder have been renumbered to match frame. Grips with light wear overall. Action excellent. Holster very good to fine with light wear overall. Leather remains supple. A rare holster.

Grips are fair, moderate wear and dullness to them. 3) Very good, retaining approx. 80-90% finish with light oxidation present. Some areas of surface rust. Needs a good cleaning. Grips are fair, heavily worn towards the bottom.
