Shallow file mark across vertical width of left receiver face in line with screw slot. Tight action. Two long splits on left side of buttstock extending from buttplate to upper and lower tangs. 3/16-inch lateral hole through buttstock. Small brass bolt with nut through wrist of stock. Lettering "g.m 1.x" carved in left side of buttstock 1/2" to 13/16-inch high. Both stocks show age and numerous dings and impressions from long use.
