Condition: Fine. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish with scattered wear to relief edges and buttplate. Vibrant case-hardening. Stock showing minor dents and bruises. Bright bore.
Notes: Flayderman classifies this carbine as a Model 1890 because it has two government alterations: 1) front sight cover. 2) a special ""high hump"" barrel band to protect rear sight. It is a Model 1884 with these improvements.

Condition: Fine to excellent for this model. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish with scattered wear and light spotting. Breechblock with brown age patina. Traces of silvered case-hardening remaining. Buttplate with brown patina and minor pitting. Wood very good to fine with scatttered wear and minor blemishes including a tiny chip to toe of butt. Action tight and crisp. Bright bore. No cleaning rod present in butt. [see Flayderman 9A386].
Notes: Only 1000 of this model were manufactured in the 1880s and issued to U.S. cavalry regiments. This is an excellent example of those that have survived.

Notes: This was the last Hall carbine made at Harpers Ferry. approximately 1000 were manufactured. All were sent to the 1st U.S. Dragoons for service in the Western campaign.

U.S. Hall-north Model 1843 Breechloading ""side Lever"" Percussion Carbine

Condition: Excellent for this model with bright metal and only slight wear and minor spots of pitting present. Wood near mint.
Notes: This is one of the so-called ""Fremont"" carbines involved in the scandal of early Civil War years; the ""Fremonts"" were refinished by W. W. Marsden; the barrel is rifled and finished bright with the brown finish removed. The caliber was enlarged from .52 to .58.
