Full standing view of Indian wearing wide-brimmed hat, hair falling below his shoulders. He holds Winchester riffle by the barrel, but resting on the floor. Six page, handwritten letter, stating that Posse member Comitatus Hathaway had received payment of $3.00 per day for the capture of eleven outlaws, Oct. 3, 1874 and Nov 3, 1874, both days inclusive. Hathaway worked for James F. Fagan who was sworn in as the 3rd U.S. Marshal under Issac Parker, Indian Territory. Those arrested were brought to Fort Smith, Arkansas. Signed by Hathaway, James F. Fagan, J.H. Smith, and James O. Churchill. Very readable and full of great content.
